Here's an odd one for you...bearing in mind that I've just hit Master Smuggler, and I have low prices to drum up some business...
Guy: May I ask how much you charge for a slice?
Me: sure, 100cr per % sliced e.g. 25% slice is 2500
Guy: That's way too cheap, that doesn't even cover the materials!
Me: well, I make my own tools and have my own harvesters
Guy: I order you to charge more, you're destroying the game
Me: I think my price is fair, how much do you charge?
Guy: 7k per slice.
Me: That's quite expensive
Guy: You're killing the game for other smugglers.
Me: There's nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition.
Guy: That's not true - it's unhealthy.
Guy: You'd better start charging that, keep the game alive for people like us who want to make money
Me: Um, okay...i'll charge 7k per slice regardless...
(5 minutes later)
Me: Sorry, I've started charging 7k per slice, and everyone's laughing at me! Back to my old price...good luck out there...
Guy: Why are they laughing?
Suffice to say I'm still charging 100cr per %, I have harvesters full of copper and aluminium to make the clamps etc. And I can still get 4500cr for a top-sliced piece of armour, which is pretty good I'd say!

well, it's finaly happened. i've started getting "those" customers...
first story; i'm standing outside c-net, when the following happens.
[Instant Messages] ***** tells you, 'how much for 10 stun batoons ?'.
[Instant Messages] You reply to *****, '50k'.
[Instant Messages] ***** tells you, 'okay Uhm im at the ticket machines'
i head inside the starport, jusr as i get this...
[Instant Messages] ***** tells you, 'ill give u 100k if u attach power ups When uve done half the slice'.
my responce?
[Spatial] ***** is now ignored.
[Spatial] You have added ***** to your Denial of Service list.
Spatial] Chenlambec says, "guess what, you just said the majic words..." in Shyriiwook.
[Spatial] Chenlambec says, "NO SLICE FOR YOU!!" in Shyriiwook.
she then high tailed it outa there, while i /reported her for trying to use an exploit( that's what it is, no mater what anyone says)
less than 10 minutes later.
[Spatial] "i got 2 guns that need slicing, can you help?" ****** says.
[Spatial] "yes, it'll cost you 5k for both" Chenlambec says in Shyriiwook.

[Spatial] Trade request sent to ******.
now, when anyone wants to do some sliceing with me, i have macro'ed my rules, specificly stating that i only acept cash in the trade window, and that if they dow banktip, or tip i will not give it back. it's a tip, isn't it?
[Spatial] "have to bank tip" ****** says.
[Spatial] ****** wants to trade with you.
[Spacial] "no bank tips. Trade window only" Chenlambec says in Shyriiwook.
[Spatial] "where's the cash?" Chenlambec says in Shyriiwook.
[Spatial] ****** says, "check your email,"
so i tell him again

Report him for harassment.
Travel to the shuttleport which is the secondnearestto Fort Tusken, get a ticket to the nearest and port, then ride back to Fort Tusken.
If you are an experienced PvPer, duel and kill him.
Accept trade, and then keep the containers, 'cause he was being a little bit.ch.
Travel to the safe area outside Fort Tusken, /addignore, /denyservice, go /afk.

Wookie: Hi, can you slice my armour for encumbrance?
Me: I'll give it a try, but it's random
Wookie: I need encumbrance slice
Me: Is that a medallion you're wearing?
Wookie: Yes
Me: If it's a lucky one, start rubbing it now...
Wookie: *rubs lucky charm*
Me: 45% encumbrance slice!
Wookie: *rubs charm harder*
Me: Keep rubbing that thing!
Wookie: come one baby!
Me: 39% encumbrance slice!
Wookie: *cheers*
I'm now trying to find those lucky slice charms to sell for 100k each!

I discovered something today. The server gods may be all knowing in-game, but they can't overhear MSN! 
A friend was telling me today that he was looking for an LLC, and that he needed a speed slice. I, of course, told him he'd need to do the hawtpant dance in order to appease the server gods to get it. Lo and behold, I found him an LLC not long after and proceeded to slice it. "Cross your fingers," I said and snipped the second wire—23% speed slice. So there you go, as long as they don't tell you what they want in-game you've still got…well, let's be honest, a 50/50 chance hehe.

Helping them only encourages this behavior, next time take the containers use clamps and fail every single one.

Nah, that would have been a waste of clamps.
What you could have done is take the containers, slice them, remove everything (keep it or delete it), then charge him twice as much. He will probably grumble, then pay up. Then sit back and watch his reaction when he gets all his containers back empty

a silly thing while i was grinding
it was a slow sunday night and a girls walks up and wants herdisruptor rifle sliced - no i dont want a bad rap so i tell her im not a master nor have clamps so theres a chance ill screw it up
needless to say i screw it up - so i tip her like 10k for her troubles - it was a really nice weapon - she walks off so i run around the corner and into a hotel and run near a wall where they were standing - luckily the game still allows me to "hear" thru the wall - i heard the tail end of her friends comment
".... what did he do use his FEET?"

me: ok so you know then. that equipment doesn't matter
guy: well as long as you used 95%. Ive never seen slices so low with 95% are you sure you are master smuggler

Like someone else said, its quite amazing how most bad customers either:
- Know a Master Smuggler who does it for [insert price lower than your here]
- Used be to a Smuggler, and therefore know everything there is to know about smuggling
- Have an Alt which is a Master Smuggler (see #2)
I mean, it really beggers belief how some people can argue about slicing techniques/prices with a Master Smuggler.

This chuckle involves some pvp. I'm a MSmug/TKM. I was doing some Janta missions and wanted to get some more faction, so I headed to the only city on Dantooine that has an imp base. When I arrived I checked my map for players and didn't see any, so I commenced a whoopin on the imp npc's at the base. What I didn't see was the AT-ST beside the building I was next to so I ran a little ways and feigned. That's when a speeder flew right over my head and dismounted at the base. The guy dismounted and declared, then proceded over to me where he began shooting me. His tag was sharpshooter, but he wasa BH, and shot me about 20x with torso shot. I said "Dude, that's so weak". He remained silent for a while, shooting me the whole time and then replied "Well stand up sissy". I laughed and said "Well if you want a fair fight, let my health heal and I'll stand up". About this time his friend showed up who was a master swordsman. He stopped shooting me and as my health regenerated he kept calling me sissy. I was laughing the whole time. My health fully regenerated and by that time I had lost my TEF. I /stand /peace pull out my speeder and fly away.
NEVER TRUST A SMUGGLER THAT ASKS FOR A FAIR FIGHT!!!! 
I went back later to kill some more imps but I found a bunch of people standing around there (probably protecting their base from little old me), turns out they banned me...too bad the nearest city is only 1km away
