Seriously, with skill tapes? Every single proffession can hit speed cap. Damage is better, plain and simple. That's all there is to it.

And how am I cheap? I'd pay 15k+ for a good slice. Even a "decent" damage slice, 20%, nets you 10k. Which is what you want, isn't it? And you get more, if you deliver a quality slice. I just want to get what I pay for, no more, no less.

Just a quick note. I have 4 geo blasters all have mods and DOT. I would love any one to show me a better one than I have. Not bragging heres the point. I have 2 with mind poison one is -1 for the noobs at home that unlimited uses. It had a 3.7 speed. I prayed for a speed slice. I have a 370max 2.6 no prower up geo with +9 and +6 pistol mods to kill you with . The mind Dot is for poison So faster you get hit the better. No need for high damage. Thats what the mind fire vk is for.

So before you say nobody like speed and you couldn't sell one to anyone think this. If my gun shots 1.0 and your does 3.0. I have damg of about say 240 and your damg slice got you 310. I win. I'll spam shoot you while Im running from you and good luck hitting my as I have stacker ranged def as well as pretty good dodge. So if I shoot 1 to 3 of yours and only 2 of my 3 hit while your snail is letting go if your still on your feet 3.0 shoots it is unlikey you live long. But don't take my word for it come to theed well give it a run.

To Add to that....Anyone and Everyone who has to pass through unarmed needs a speed slice. That includes smugglers, Commandos, and TKA's .

Speed slices still have value to many people in the game.

I charge 5k, seems fairly reasonable. Sometimes if I get a crappy slice I'll give em half off for it. Often they pay full price anyhow. 5k just isn't much money, I've only had a few people decline.

But everyone should just charge what it's worth them, that's how business works. The price will balance itself through the laws of supply and demand.

I charge 3k per slice. And i'm on Bloodfin where our economy is somewhere in the gutter. I have never had anyone complain about my prices. In fact i've had a lot of people tip me more then what the final charge should have been. But 3k is good. I'm not out to take all your money.

I generally do not do street slicing. No money in it and it takes time. I sell exclusively on a vendor. I sell almost everything that I put up. Here's what works well for me:

less than 20% = in the trash, noone wants a weapon like that

20-24% = 3k for my time (no one will probably buy it but you never know

25-29% = 2x weapon cost

30% = 3x weapon cost

35% =4-10 times weapon cost (super fast VKs are a serious seller at virtually any price)

The reason people will buy these weapons? Simple, people like nice slices. You can take 5 10kcr weapons to a streeet slicer and end up with 5 mediocre slices (or worse) 3 of which are speed and you wanted damage OR you can spend the same ammount of money (or less if you can settle for a 30% slice and honestly, most people can) and pick out the one you like.

I charge less mark up on armor as the base cost is so high (really expensive weapons as well) but in general I think this scheme works, well, at least for me.

I do 5k per slice, bad or good. Never had a complaint (well, only complaints were when someone was begging me for a free slice).

I generally do 2500 per slice, but I get a lot of complaining that my price is to high, and that they have a friend who will do it for less.

And also, I get people saying something like "How about taking a gamble with 100 credits per percent increase?"which will probably average out to be what I charge, but what this is supposedly an illegal service, and although to my knowledge the chances that I will be fined/attacked/whatever by stormtroopers because I have slicing tools and sliced weapons is incredibly slim to none. Also, when risking my neck (mostly from an RP perspective) I like to be guaranteed some dough.

If I got a guy who said 2500 was too high Id send him on his way. Even if he said okay fine 5k. Just for being an a$$. He could spend sometime to find another master smuggler who will put up with that crap. I'm glad I have give up slicing for the streets. I main stock my vendors -3958 3592 Theed (free advertising hehe) and they can pick what they like I price all them the same. I will sometimes slice something for those I'm hunting with if I notice thier weapon blows. To help them a bit. But as for any other I have better things to do.

Ok this past monday i was slicing for

7k weapon

75k a suit of armor

Noone had a problem with this but some asked why so high and i said

"People pay 10-15k for a 3 hour buff "

"I'm slicing your equipment that can last a life time if you take care of it"

He paid the price eagerly and gave me a tip....

To those of you who feel ripped off by NGE, here you go. "You bought an apple, you ate that apple, you enjoyed that apple. Now you've been given a lemon. Eat it, chuck it, squeeze it over a pancake. The choice is yours." As explained by "Coldreboot"
