oh and I am not so sure about Dreven's brain being safe from exploding tho... still is the matter of "newbie not reading the stickies and asking about slicing/fp selling/spice/can we slice ship components/question of the day" threads.

You may not remeber the 200ish mx dmg flamethrowers then.... It was so long ago I don't even remeber when they made the changes. I couldn't really call that a revamp though.
Oh yeah, I remember them...Its what I used to level Commando with...Was before the LP gave heavy weapons xp, and gave pistol xp....

QFE on Max. Original point on the subject was that nearly everyone, including commandos, has seen some serious attention. (Whether it was a revamp is debatable, but the changes to commando weapons were huge, as both of you clearly know.) Smugglers, on the other hand, still aren't functional as smugglers, and until these upcoming patches, I can't remember one change that expanded or added to our core abilities. I think we're earned a little priority.
Which, I'm happy to see, Tiggs' posts here seem to confirm. Those three posts were flat-out great to read, the kind of information we've been wanting for a long long time--and who knows, they might even go a ways toward removing the stingers from some of us old hornets.

Now if, like Dreven said, we can get some updates along the way to let us know we're not getting a mild upgrade or enhancement like the other non-combat professions and what you're doing with us, we'll be in business.
