Think you're dead on about the cyborg parts. If they add any kind of combat bonus, and that IGN article said they will, I think we're about to see the Revenge of the Robots.
hopefully any cyborg parts that give bonuses, should also give hindrances. i.e. you have a faster trigger finger, but your skills at dodge and ranged mitigation are lessened

Probably won't happen. Because as we've seen with spices, if it's not a 1000% return rate for the players they don't want it. If it's like it should be and provide negs with the bonuses then it's option b) everyone gets tired of them and forgets them in a month or two.

Ternque; "I sure as hell hope that players can't own slaves."
So...what would be the motivation for fighting FOR the slavetraders if you couldn't own slaves?
An expansion based on wookies as slaves but not letting players own slaves seems a bit lame...I don't feel the motivation to fight for or against NPCs owning slaves.
Well people who fight FOR NPC's putting Wookiee into slavery would be motivated by money, not owning wookiee slaves themselves.
I know you are not a bit PC, but don't you think that letting players own NPC Wookiee slaves to be sort of a tool of bad direction for our current Earth society?
I think that we have enough racial exploitation in the world we live in to have 1337 dudes running around comparing how many slaves they own: "OMG!!1!! You suck nub. I have lik 10 more slaves then you do. lol. ktkxbye nubz0r!"

Yea, but not everyone will get full prothetics, so I doubt it.
Not everyone is a Jedi. Not everyone wears full composite. Not everyone is a melee profession. Not everyone wears a combo of shorts, sneakers and pink hair.
Etc.

I don't think anyone has questioned that cybernetics will be the new hooded cloak

The jedi starfighter may turn out to be something like the Slave 1 was. Everyone was worried about how that would mix with content. It turned out to be a non-issue. I'm not so much as worried about the jedi starfighter as I am with the prostectics.
Can you imagine guys walking around with both arms and both legs in prostetics. It will look like terminator 2.

I mean it looks like we can fight the NPC slavertraders or fight the ones fighting the slavetraders but can we own slaves? I bet not. It's kind of like half-done content...again.How does it tie in with JTL and the GCW? Or is this yet another seperate part of the game like JTL is that, IMO, is only a distraction from SWG.
I dunno, my initial impression is that this expansion will be good. I'm not in support as far as the idea that this one planet might have more content that seems to fit my idea of what the SW universe is than the other 9 that I ALREADY paid for.
Also, looking at the official LA screens, has anyone else noticed that the planet seems to be more, well, designed, than the current ones? Like, the ones we have now, it really seems like they just ran it through Terragen and plopped down a city here and there. In these screens there appear to be REAL paths, like, maybe we'll actually have a world that you can travel from one place to another by road, which would REALLY make sense for an adventure planet which probably won't have too many shuttles available. But again, maybe my imagination is running wild again.

One disadvantage I can imagine those artifical arms will have is that they are not healable by a medic, advantage could be you get less damage. If your cyberarm gets damaged you need to visit a Droid Engineer.

Once again we are pushed back, which means they have no clue what to do with us or how to fix us.
implants, gee hasn't that been done already in Anarchy Online , nada new here ..........
We were told to wait till after jtls for combat re vamp and our fix ,now new expansion, guess what we get put on the back burner again......
By the time they get the major bugs fixed from this and combat re vamp rolled out in fall the announcment for another expansion rolls just in time for nov dec, around and guess what????
Nada about smugglers yet sorry folks more important things to work on........
I wonder if the combat re vamp will be included in a "mini expansion" one has to pay for too, the carrot being the free respec..................................
