Smugglers have a few things going for them:

1) slicing

2) ability to purchase faction points

3) feign death

4) a community base

All the poor Squadleaders have is the equivalent of a few skill tapes and the ability to spam other peoples screens... Smugglers get a lot of comments from the devs at least! (which is more than the SLs could say

)

Hey, don't the SL's also get to wear the BH or Mando armor? And here we've been asking for our own special weapon and get squat!

I am also a smuggler that has been waiting for the revamp the one thing that gets me mad is that they went ahead with this jedi revamp that is going to inpart make it easier to become a jedi (sob) when jedi should be a tedious and long task to go threw to become one. we have been waiting for so long for this revamp and they continue to look us over and dangle the carrot I agree with the other post i saw on here were we should raise the costs of slices to an insane amount so that it hits there economy and other players start to get upset and complain (heh maybe if a jedi cries about the slice costs they will devote the whole staff to fixing us) it seams they care more about the jedi then anyone else i guess thats a way to keep people paying the monthly fee if they have the ability to become a jedi alot easier. sry if this all dosnt make sence its my first post and i guess im kind of just venting on some of the stuff that i have been noticing.

i guess thats why they let us make spices hopeing that we will be so high on them that we wont notice how long we have been a nothing in this game.

It's only the helmet that presents problems for…Rodians, Bothans, Mon Calamari, and, well, the whole thing for Wookiees, right?

Yeah, the whole thing. On the good side (is there such a thing? ) we are getting some new armor. One even has pants!!

Back on topic tho....this is such a interesting read in "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing." When you take into account the recent interview where Mr. he-who-shall-not-be-named said he knew nothing about a smuggler revamp, it looks like the only people that were talking about a revamp were the smugglers, and any red name that posted here. Just an observation.

Don't want to hijack? Great, then DON'T! If you want to ramble about Mandalorian or BH armor or Squad-Leaders, there are plenty of other forums for it.

And to think, somewhere in these dev comments we somehow "misled" ourselves into thinking that there was a revamp planned. However did that happen???

Funny that, in EN's retirement thread of early May, a number of people asked him to hang on for the supposed smuggler revamp that had just been announced. He wasn't swayed, and let his account expire.

That revamp is due 10 months from the time EN hit the trail. I think he made the right choice.

He and I came up as smugglers together on Starsider. I miss that guy.
