Thread: Last ditch working as intended?

1.) What profession loses exp when they die? Jedi
2.) What profession has been nerf'd more times? Jedi
3.) What profession takes the longest to aquire NOVICE? Jedi
4.) What profession can you put all your skills in and not be able to be a Master of that profession? Jedi
GO talk crap now little boy. Once you get a Jedi to Master (am I'm not talking about Master LS, Master Defender etc etc. I'm talking full outright MASTER JEDI) then and only then will I listen to your comments.

hmmm... it's always confused me, the fact that in a SW game where you can be everything else... people still want to be the one thing that you can be (and have more fun at) in a multitude of other games... here's just a partial list...
Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight
Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Jedi Power Battles
Knights of the Old Republic
Knights of the Old Republic 2
Episode III Revenge of the Sith
...and that's just off the top of my head... go play those games, leave this one to the real SW fans.
PS - In those games, if you die, you just load from your last save point

A Smuggler friend told me to have an eye out on this forum, so im just trolling around.
Still though, the attitude some of those "wannabee jedi" - since beeing jedi means following the jedi codex, not using force powers to kill others in the GCW ("We are keepers of the peace not soldiers.") - show, is beyound any comprehension.
I know whats happening here and how they get thier "7 out of 8" numbers..
Having extensively tested LD Pre-CU on TC and also post CU on live I kow where these numbers come from.
I have a friend whom is very very good at PvP, when he and I tested LD with a series of duels we had somewhat similar results, this is what happened:
In the first Duels I wanted to gauge damage, so he simply shot me until I was low on Health, I LD and boom, suddenly we are both nearly dead. It was not a once shot incap because well I use pistols, my single shot damage is not high enough. Next was testing to get an incap, so whil he is shooting me, I shoot back and when it comes time to LD boom, he goes down. Neither of these cases resulted in me incapping myself because it was a controlled test where he allowed me to LD, and when allowed it works near 100% of the time.
Allright so now I knw how it works, I told my friend to take off the gloves and we actually started trying to fight each other. In all of our duels after that LD was useless. Either I had managed to use state affects to prevent enough damage to myself that I did not need LD, or his High powered Rifle did not leave me the oppurtunity to use it succesfully when he was actually trying to win.
Furthermore I have also Fought in GCW PvP. Strange how I always end up fighitng Jedi in my skirmishes, Would like to point out a few inconsistancies in thier arguement.
1. Jedi was fighting against my group and tanked all of us for a very long time thanks to Avoid Incap.
2. Group vs. group in Thalnax My groups Rifleman had engaged an Imp at long range, I was closing to get a few shots in, a Jedi uncloaks on top of me, uses KD and I am dead before I can hit KD recovery, LD was useless to me here, even if I had been able to use it, since this was a group vs group situation.
It is amazing to me how a group of people that have the BEST combat abilities in the game and the most 'gamebreaking' can complain about LD. Thier skills are usefull 100% of the time, LD is only usefull in VERY specific circumstances and then only if you get lucky, and happen to be fighting an idiot that complains about things instead of finding a way to defend against them. Luckily for BHs there are quite a few Jedi that match that description.
Gilbert: as for your suggestion to make it so the target of an LD loses a % of damage. I would like to point out exactly what happens if that change is made. LD goes from a Last Ditch assault to save my life, to me putting a gun to my head and pulling the trigger. If LD damage is based on a % of the enemies remaining health than it will never incap him, but it will still harm me to the point that I 1) Have no health and 2) have no action. if there is Zero chance of incapping an opponent with LD there is no point in using it at all cause that is a "I lose" button
