Thread: A chuckle for the smuggler
No, there's no "maybe" about it. It doesn't hurt you as much as it hurts us. I've seen women hit in the groin. They were still standing. Their knees did not buckle. Their eyes did not roll back in their head. They did not vomit.

Why does low blow work on females?
not to be a pedant, but it actually does hurt us getting hit there you know, maybe not as much as guys but not something i could take standing up that's for sure.
hehe, today a feller who neatly cleaved me in twain a few days ago during a raid came up with a suit of armour for me to slice. after pausing for a bit to wonder why i'm about to help him possibly beat me up again at some point in the future, i went ahead and did it - all the slices between 11 and 20%, mostly effectiveness save 3 or 4. he didn't say anything, just paid my 25k fee. *snicker*
see, sometimes bad slices aren't so bad after all.
*shrug* - seeing as i charge 3k per armour piece my little "deal" is 25k for a 9 piece set, be it padded, comp, or whatever. i'm slowly raising my prices, but im not quiet comfortable with 75k yet.

He he he he he....... the literallist gets one starred.....
Remember folks, trolling leads to anger, anger leads tohate, hate leads to Jeassa lockin this thread again.......
A friend is out hunting and notices me logging in. He wants a slice, and I'm heading that way, so I go to meet him.
He mentions he wants speed on both weapons, and I told him he's gone and done it now and explain the server gods' hatred of smugglers. The other guy he's hunting with knows what I'm talking about and gives a "hehe".
Sure enough, there's a damage slice on the first weapon. Told him and he says, "No big deal, I don't use that one so much anyway. In fact, I don't use either of them that much so doesn't matter."
Slice the second weapon. Speed. Told him and he said, "Hah! I wanted speed!"
Guess the server gods can be made to look away when indifference is indicated, feigned though it is...
Speaking of Feign, I was chatting with the aforementioned group and saw a Sharnaff nearby. Not having fought one before, I excused myself, armored up, drew my pistol, and proceeded to attack (unbuffed). I'm doing ok, but the HAM bars are dropping a bit when a Sharnaff Bull decides to jump in. Being the friends they are, they proceed to help out and blast the Bull for me. When it's all said and done, knowing I could have Feigned, I tell them, "Not necessary, but thanks anyway".
More discussion of the battle, I mention I could have done much better if I was using TKA to fight the thing instead of my pistols and soon enough another Sharnaff appears and I say, "Watch this." Equipping the VK, I begin my attack. Doing well when TWO Bulls show up. Finish off the Sharnaff, start on one of the Bulls, the HAM drops fast and I hit the old Feign hotkey. About that time I notice they were once again attacking the Sharnaffs! The Novice Marksman that had joined the discussion earlier was incapped, the friend I came to slice for was incapped, and the Pistoleer was close.
I say to myself, "Crap" and hit the Stand key and wade in on the last Bull, pulling him off the Pistoleer. Just as my Health is completely white, but for the tiniest sliver of red, the Bull goes down. Healing is done and we gather together.
Friend: "That was really close!"
Me: "Thanks again guys, but like I said, you didn't need to jump in like that. I can Feign if I need to."
Friend: "What's that do?"
Me: "Make me look dead to the creatures so they stop attacking. In fact, I did that just after those Bulls showed up."
Friend: "Lol! I thought you got incapped!"
Others: "Yeah."
Me: "You've never seen a Smuggler fight before?"
All: "No."
A few moments pass...
Novice Marksman: "Smuggler sounds cool. Whan else can you do?"

Ok no customers in this one but made me actually feel like a smuggler.
So the other night I'm running ALL over Corellia looking for clamps and cannot find any in any of the vendors listed. So I check the list one more time and find a vendor that is not too far away. Create waypoint, jump on swoop and headed out. I'm riding along when bam! I'm incapped and off my bike. "What the?" I think as I notice the faction pet imperial troops walking around me. This is when I realize that the vendor is in the middle of IS an infamous Imperial PC on Tempest. I'm a rebel and this was the first night I was overt. I really needed those supplies so I decide that perhaps when I get up I jump on my bike and speed away fast I can make it into IS. So I get up jump on bike and *bam* incaped. (I know I'm not a great fighter)
So this time during incap I start thinking. The stupid little faction pet troops aren't that bright and have moved into a formation. Maybe if I stay low to the ground and work my way around them I can make it. So end of incap after I stand up I immediately go prone. I store the bike and start crawling into the city. I maneuver around the troops and aftercrawling like 300 or 400 meters I'm in IS! Sweet! Now as long as there are on PC's in town that are overt Imps I should be fine. I make my way sneaking through the city to the vendor which is in the mall. Luckily no one is in the city. I buy what I need off the vendor (Yeah they actually had clamps!) and I begin to plan on how to get out of the city.
Hmmm...shuttle is surrounded by ST's...that won't work. So I start sneaking out of the city when I come across one lone Storm Trooper. Sweet! I can totally take him! With my flamethrower he's white to me! So I attack....apparently my mods are quite good enough yet...he incaps me and I'm dead. After all that work sneaking in and around I wasn't even smart enough to sneak out without picking a fight with a Stormtrooper. /shakes head.
Oh well, at least it was fun! For once I seriously felt like a smuggler. ![]()

I know the original comment was a "what if" type of comment, but... low blow doesn't mean hit to the groin, it means "un-gentleman like attack" That means a kick to the knee caps, stomp on the throat, and includes shot to the groin. That's why it works on females (and trandoshans).
Read the description of the special. It is a shot below the belt. Where do you keep your throat?
