Here's another "hypothetical" situation. Our smuggler, has ended up in the midst of a galactic civil war, on a huge Imperial space station. He, feeling pretty cocky, decides to use his previous experience with a rifle, and charges headlong down a corridor, rifle blazing. He encounters a squad of soldiers, and runs like hell. Reality had suddenly grounded him, he's not some crazy soldier type, he's a smuggler, what the hell is he doing running down a hallway shooting off a rifle?

Actually i believe that was a carbine

BUT, the carbine he was carrying was not his personal weapon. It is the weapon he looted off of the Stormtrooper whose armor he stole...and the standard issue weapon of Stormtroopers. If he'd have decided to carry his trusty DH, he would have attracted undue attention. In that particular situation, the choice of a carbine as a weapon had more to do with having a convincing disguise than having the appropriate "all-around" weapon for a smuggler.

True I was just being funny and correcting him. Also the incident he was refering to , "Han" wasnt dressed as a stormtrooper, but was still using the carbine.

Gotcha...but my explanation still holds as to why he had the carbine in the first place, even if he had already ditched the cumbersome ST armor

Sure weapons of opportunity are very smugglerish, but i bet he was better with his trusy pistol

Agree 100%

Heh, just to make this even crazier looking Thought I'd add one thing in. The weapon of opportunity thing, applies to any suave MF that tends to carry a compact pistol as his primary sidearm. James Bond? Walther PPK. small gun, small caliber, if the need arose he'd hit someone over the head with it and steal their SMG/RPG/Laser etc. Kinda why I'm worried about that "flare" gun in the CU pistols thing. It looks like someone wrapped a coke can around a ppk.

James Bond had alot of nice gadgets too... I always liked that dartpistol around the wrist. There is actually something like that in the EU, Boba Fett got Mandalorian Bracelets forLISTENINGabout thecontract on Han (well Jabba wasn't the first one to put a bounty on Han).

I would like to see Smugglers and Bounty Hunters alike get trick weapons. Neither of them is into a clean fight.

We couldn't play SWG without Tiggs. Now we can =)
