Ana,
you really just don't know how to see anyone else's opinion.
You have some good ideas yourself, and I think that when your in the basement thinking of these ideas, you really, really believe that everyone agrees with you. I can't begin to understand what drives you to be completely unable to say "Hmm, that's a good point, maybe it could work like this" No, you just rail on about how no one can understand your massive intellect.
The CURB will set combat right.
I am so angry with myself for starting this thread, because it gives you another place to spout your insane superiority to all of us.
I would like everyone to stop posting on this thread now, it was a mistake to post anyway. We've all gotten out of hand (Myself more than included) and I just want to hit the screen everytime I open it, waiting to see what good idea is posted next. There have been some really great ideas here, and there has been a lot of meaningless communication.

Thank you so much for calling us ignorant. We're glad you're here to have these civil conversations. If the double rate of fire (notice I said rate of fire, not damage, but rate of fire) is doubled (and no one says it has to be, it could go up by 1.5 or 1.25) then you could severely limit, like halve, the accuracy. The damage stays the same. How is that like toting even one LLC or T21 again?

ok, to go back on what I just posted earlier about more posting, I really like this idea. with DPS staying the same (approx) the only real advantage to dual wield (other than the very nice effect of shooting 2 from the hip) is the possibility of using 2 damage types at once. Which was kind of all I wanted from dual wield in the first place. The devs can work out the mechanics to make sure Pistols aren't too powerful (ala CURB)

Why lowered accuracy will not work again.
Weaponsmiths can uber a weapons accuracy to cover it up. Since most people do not pay much attention to accuracy modifiers on their weapons in the first place that goes by un noticed by all but the most selective of weapon user. With that being said a smith has an increadibly easy work around in pistols.
How does a weaponscope work. A weaponscope has three stats to work on accuracy wound chance ham cost. The better advanced scopes can increase accuracy by +42, or the wound chance by 20 percent. This is done at an added 20 points of ham cost per shot. This ham cost penalty is only applied when the player uses a special attack.
Stance the forgotten art form once again most players completely forget about it in the swing of melee. With the proper stance in group combat you can once again increase your accuracy.
Powerups can increase weapons accuracy.
Foods can increase weapons accuracy.
Many state attacks stick reguardless of accuracy.
Clothing attachments/armor attachments need I say more.
Being a trainer of noob ranged fighters. I can testify as to how much I can buff a player beyond their mods. To the point where you start accuracy capping.
The only real way to balance the system is to just make it purely cosmetic. There are just too many work around people can abuse to get around this or that. Hell the doubleing over would be a new playground for perfect slices.

Okay I suppose I have to explain it to you like a child.-You mean exactly as we've been trying to explain these things to you?You all seem to have two points of view on what a dual weild will be. Either its purely cosmetic or it actually has some bonus.-Congratulations! You've actually understood something! I am gathering most of you want to double over pistols and use them for powerful strikes.-Good God! He's on a roll! The point is as a pistoleer no you should not be able to do this. Its counter indicated. You chose pistoleer it has advantages it has weaknesses. It is a panzy profession. Its just a notch above master marksman. Thats just a fact.-Well, two outta three and all that jazz. WRONG! Pistoleer is geared towards fast light attacks, in which you would get the same amount of damage in a Rifleman would get, but doing so by attacking *much* faster than the rifleman. Thusly, if a Rifleman can kill MOB X in two shots, while a Pistoleer can kill the same MOB in ten shots, this means that the Pistoleer should then be capable of firing ten times every time the Rifleman fires twice. They do the same damage, but at different rates. The problem is, these classes were never balanced properly. Which is why Pistoleer has been gimped. Though its not all bad for the points spent you can now devote the remaining points to other areas to help your template out.Do I think CH should be able to control rancors. Then again I do not think players should be able to pull speeders from their pocket. Sadly you must be missing the point about this being a game. You want to engage in your fantasy let the ch do it aswell. Personally I would prefer more midrange creatures my self in dimenstions. I also think that a GSP shouldnt be stimieid by a melee fighter at all. Though should have real issues with a commando. Some realism must be sacraficed for gameplay. That is just the way it is.-You do realize you just contradicted yourself, right? The point I made with the LLC was pretty damn plain the fact that you insist on trying to take it out of context really shines on you as being idiotic.-No, you were the one who said that using two pistols would be the equivilent of carrying around a Lightning Cannon without the drawbacks. That's what is idiotic. If pistoleer has the option to double firepower with his weapons. Then a BH/COMMANDO should have the same option. Its called fair since their weapons were built on the heavy hit system.-As long as they are weapons capable of being wielded effectively in a single hand, then yes, they should be capable. If they are weapons such as Flame Throwers, Lightning Cannons, Carbines, et cetera, then no, they should not be capable. Your just nulifying their advantage.-No, we're talking about a possible way to increase our rate of fire at a decrease of accuracy. Its trading one pair of advantage/disadvantage for another pair. In this situation, we're trading the accuracy we get with limited damage potential for limited accuracy with more damage potential. The same goes for rifles and carbine.-How many soldiers in the real world do you see fighting with dual M16's? If you want to have a system to double the output for pistoleer why not a system for everyone else. I know why because you want to service yourself at the cost of others. You want to be able to cover more damage ranges then you are supposed to. Carbineer and Riflemen are in the same boat as it were.-Nope, it would be a universal system set up for all weapons. Any weapon that is flagged as a single handed weapon, for ranged or melee classes, is capable of being dual wielded. Any weapon that is not flagged as such, is not capable of being dual wielded. As you can see(but probably won't admit to), this would benefit three or four weapon types. Pistols, One-Handed swords, potentially Teras Kasi for the Knucklers, and One-Handed Lightsabers. I suppose a riflemen would love to be able to pull out a spraystick that had pistol mods. A carbineer would love to use a sawed off carbine for pistol mods.-There already are weapons like that. I've seen Rifles with +4 Dodge and +3 Pistol Speed. But guess what! It didn't make the rifle any better. All your really saying is you want to take away from pistoleer that which makes it singular. You want it to have all the advantages of everyother ranged profession combined. I suppose the riflemen should just fork over their t21s and the bhs should give all their mods and moves to pistoleer.-Not at all. We are using our brains to logically work through a system which allows for multiple playstyles. You're just incapable of acknowledging anything the possibility of being right if it does not fit into your little preconcieved world.

Really? Who?
Okay I suppose I have to explain it to you like a child.
Why does every thread of yours begin with you stating some variation on "Okay let me explain." This begets two situations:
a.) Every other person in this forum is completely retarded and just can't seem to grasp your..."intelligence."
b.) You're a half wit and no one understands what the hell you're saying because you're a moron that is afflicted with Napoleon Syndrome and illiteracy.
Hmmm....I think I'll go with option B.
You all seem to have two points of view on what a dual weild will be.
And you seem to have one point of view of everything...yours. /rolleyes
Either its purely cosmetic or it actually has some bonus.
As if there was something inbetween? What idiot suggested we have a purely cosmetic addition that has bonuses?! Seriously, can you even read? Your comprehension levels are left lacking. Every time you post, your age drops dramatically. I know you're 10 years old, just admit it. You just like coming in here to play with the adult boys and girls and act like you're grown up. Well, I got news for ya buddy, your spelling and your hypocricy completely gives you away. NO 26 year old is as stupid as you.
I am gathering most of you want to double over pistols and use them for powerful strikes.
No, we want double pistols because it would look cool and maybe give us an advantage in PvP.
The point is as a pistoleer no you should not be able to do this. Its counter indicated. You chose pistoleer it has advantages it has weaknesses. It is a panzy profession. Its just a notch above master marksman. Thats just a fact. Though its not all bad for the points spent you can now devote the remaining points to other areas to help your template out.
Ok, you just said not 5lines ago that we wanted dual pistols to be able to use them for powerful strikes (please see the yellow highlight for clarification if you decide to act like you never said that.) Obviously, if pistoleer is SUCH a pansy profession, then we MUST need something like this to make us even viable in PvP, in your opinion.
/scoff
Idiot.
Do I think CH should be able to control rancors.
Well, this is a doozy. Hey, guess what? They're called question marks. There are lots of other punctuations in the English language besides the period; there's the semi-colon (which I just used,) the comma, and even the exclamation point! I suggest you start practicing as to avoid ludicrously funny remarks like the one above.
Then again I do not think players should be able to pull speeders from their pocket. Sadly you must be missing the point about this being a game.
And that's why you think players shouldn't be able to pull speeders from their pocket, because this is a game. Once again, you defy the odds of logic by contradicting yourself within 2 sentences.
You want to engage in your fantasy let the ch do it aswell. Personally I would prefer more midrange creatures my self in dimenstions.
What's a..."dimenstion?" And are you a CH too, in addition to a BH, Smuggler, and a Weaponsmith? Amazing.
I also think that a GSP shouldnt be stimieid by a melee fighter at all. Though should have real issues with a commando. Some realism must be sacraficed for gameplay. That is just the way it is.
Newsflash: The Star Wars universe ISN'T REAL! It's FICTION! How in god's name can you sacrifice "realism" for gameplay if the entire thing you speak of doesn't exist? You could argue this point with a game like GTA: SA, but not Star Wars. Also, didn't you just say that you didn't think it was right for people to pull speeders out of their pocket? Isn't that substituting your "realism" for gameplay? Yes, the hypocrite strikes again!
The point I made with the LLC was pretty damn plain the fact that you insist on trying to take it out of context really shines on you as being idiotic.
And the fact that this sentence had no grammatical structure whatsoever"really shines on you" as beingpretty idiotic too.
If pistoleer has the option to double firepower with his weapons. Then a BH/COMMANDO should have the same option. Its called fair since their weapons were built on the heavy hit system.
Yes, which is why they shouldn't be allowed to DUAL WEILD, because they carry HEAVY WEAPONS. God, do you even read your own posts? Do you not realize how absurd you sound?
Your just nulifying their advantage.
Oh man, what did my 'just nullifying their advantage' do again?' Oh, wait, did you mean "You're just nullifying...?"
The same goes for rifles and carbine. If you want to have a system to double the output for pistoleer why not a system for everyone else.
Because pistols are the only thing you could reasonably dual weild. I don't know about you, but I have never seen anyone dual weild a rifle, a flamethrower, or something akin to that.
I know why because you want to service yourself at the cost of others.
No, we don't. We just want to hold our own in PvP without having to be a TKM.
You want to be able to cover more damage ranges then you are supposed to. Carbineer and Riflemen are in the same boat as it were. Ok drama queen, calm down. You're not making any sense now. I think you need to breathe. Cry me a river. You're not a Smuggler. You will never have the heart of a Smuggler. Please go away and let some other forum make fun of you.

Ok... I try this one more time:
How ranged combat would still be balanced, even with dual wielding after the Upgrabalavamp.
First of all they try to increase the combat range. A range of 128m would be awesome, I will use this range for my example.
Rifles:
Rifles are long range, slow andhigh damage. The ideal range could lie within70-128m creating here the Rifle Death Zone. But the closer you get to your target the more inaccurate you get.
Carbines:
Medium range, medium damage and medium speed. Ideal range 30-60m this is the Carbine Death Zone with absolute max range of 80m.
Pistols:
Low range, low damage, high speed. Ideal range 0-25m (Pistoleer Death Zone), max 50m.
Heavy Weapons:
Well, heavy weapons are a bit different here, depending on what kind of HW you use your DZ is in a different range. A flamer has a very short range, extrem damage, low speed (or extrem speed/low damage as it is more kind of an autofire weapon). The flamer is, cause of its close range and abbilty to sweep the cone of fire, pretty accurate.
The launchers would have extrem damage, medium to high range, slow speed and limited uses.
A hypothetical repetier blaster (an equivalent to a machine gun) medium/high range, extrem speed, low damage and immobile user.
Close Combat:
Don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Welcome to Star Wars, universe of blasters. There is 100m of death waiting for you to your target. But if you do manage to get in range to your target, respect. Heavy Weapons are dead meat, rifles are not much better of, a bajonett would be handy, carbines are again in the medium and pistoleers are best of as ranged profession in close combat, since they are more flexible to move and don't have huge weapons to handle.
Dual wielding:
An easy way to balance this a reduce in accuracy by 33% in top of your max accuracy, scopes on your pistol wouldn't work. Also a reduced ideal range by ca 5m would balnce this more, since you can't hold your pistol with both hands. There is still a bonus in it, but by far not overpowering as you fear it to be.

simple solution guys...
cut the pistoleer's speed mod exactly in half
they now shoot twice as slow but that is made up for by the 2nd pistol so it evens out
and if you want to get xtreme about it the can have it set up so that you cant equip a "speed modded" pistol as a second or first pistol..and you cant speed mod an equipped pistol
and if you think it would "unbalance" the game think about the fact that the primary reason to have dual pistols (aside from cosmetic) is to have 2 different damage types
this actually becomes a hinderance to pistoleers because you have to constantly check that your 2 weapons, not just the one weapon, are a matching damage type for your enemy
it would look cool and fit into the game fine this way
