Thread: Smuggler State of the Profession v1.34 4/05/04
Just thought I'd ask for those who actually read this, would you consider being shot while feign deathed in pvp to be an issue that I should put in here?
Personally I do, but I don't know how everyone else feels on the issue.
Or do you think that it would be too much if we appeared as the corpse we were mimicing and prevented people from poisoning, setting us on fire...etc. etc. while we were pretending to be dead.

While I feel that it is working as intended, I still think it should be addressed by the Devs.
I think our +Feign Death modifier should have some bearing on how we appear. Starting at DF1, you should only appear incapped but still be attackable...and as you progress higher up the DF tree, maybe give a chance of appearing as a corpse (probably at DF3)...
Something like this:
DF1: 80% chance of successful feign; Still attackable in PvP.
DF2: 85% chance of success; Still attackable in PvP.
DF3; 90% chance of success; 75% chance of being attacked in PvP; 25% chance of appearing as a corpse.
DF4: 95% chance of success; 50% chance of being attacked in PvP; 50% chance of appearing as a corpse.
Master: Still 95% success; 25% chance of being attacked PvP; 75% chance corpse.
I think it would be a nice addition, but not overpowering enough that other professions would get too upset about it.
*shrug*...just a thought...
Updated. Added another point to the dirty fighting area to address PvP and Feign Death.
Sent a link of this thread to Thunderheart and SWG-Runesabre.
The messagewas actually opened by Runesabre. Yay!
If we want to add to the list of contraband, I found a reference in the SW canon that supports it:
"So, Mako, how've you been doing?" Han asked. "How's the business?"
"Booming, Han," Mako said. "The Empire's restrictions are makin' us allrich, runnin' contraband of all kinds these days. Spice, yeah, that's still big. But we do nearly as well these days smuggling arms, weapons components, power paks, all that kind of thing. Luxuries like perfume and Askajian fabric, too...." A.C. Crispin, The Hutt Gambit, p. 68.
We have canon on our side, but I'm not at all confident that the devs will make the hard decision to make this happen.
Just wondering what it takes to get large, smuggler beneficial, informations posts that help address concerns of the community stickied.
/bumping also, so people can give more feedback.

You are starting to sound a little bit cynical there Solo ![]()
Updated.
Found a good spot for that quote I think. Thanks S'per.
Made a point of the Unarmed concern, instead of just mentioning it in the DF conclusion.
I find it amazing that the customer base would take the time and effort to develop a vision statement fora company and we can't even get an acknowledgement or a sticky. I can't even imagine how nice it would be to work in a profession where my customers did even the slightest bit of work for me, much less helping me come up with a development plan.
Oh, and /bump. ![]()
