Shouldn't you redesign the crafting a bit, huh? They don't because I didn't have time to implement it back before SWG went live. We had so much stuff to do and so little time to do it! We'll definitely be improving slicing and the smuggler's control over slicing at some point in the future. A revamp discussion thread on slicing will show up at some point, but I think that we'll probably talk about some of the general issues first.God I wish you were the freaking architect dev!

I wish we had about 32 clones of this guy actually.

NikkiDial has it correct. The Master box improves slicing, but the tool quality and other things do not.
Let's just hope SOE doesn't fire him for letting slip this piece of info.
I experienced the smooth and "done-right-first-time" chef revamp (which as far as I'm informed was done under GM's supervision as well) and all I can say to the smuggler community is this: be thankful for the gem you have been gifted with.

Wow....all I can say is thanks GM.
I am amazed. All I was doing was putting up a post about how stupid some people can be and look at what we got.

eheh, good bump, nothing like hearing it from a dev's mouth
Of course I never believed quality mattered, when I get good slices using tools with 0 condition!

Thank you GreenMarine! For the information, and heck, just for the communication.
Keep up the good work!

THANK YOU!
Now, if you could just confirm that Weapon slices above 35% were not possible, you would be my hero for the week...
well, a 42% speedslice on a VK just wouldn't be possible then?
it HAD to be speed tho :S
(note: it wasn't a pup-slice... never done those before... even when a guildy wanted me to do that. ok, i couldn't slice at that point lol)

LOL you have a guy from DNF working on your revamp... Expect your revamp some where in 2020.

GreenMarine, weren't you working for 3d Realms at one point and time?
Yes, I worked for 3DR for two years as a gameplay programmer/designer on DNF. I left 3DR about a year and a half ago to work on SWG. Those stories will have to wait for some future Fan Fest, not a forum post!
how prophetic was that!
