hmm.. not really a blunder on the devs part but a blunder on our parts as the players. We're the ones who made the economy so blasted retarded. The devs have been trying to rectify that by running the credit influx at a deficit. I don't think it's working too well though or at least isn't working fast enough.
You know what I find sad is that if everyone collectively got tired of the way the economy was we could effectively set prices within a range that would possibly keep in line the kind of economy that existed in the movies so that tag line by Luke would actually be accurate. Unfortunately we have too many that focus on credits being the end game and therefore increase inflation.

The name "Lady Luck" that they used is ringing a bell from somewhere can someone enlighten me.
Lando's personal ship. I forget exactly where he acquires it, but I'm almost 100% sure it happens in the Jedi Academy Trilogy.
Actually the ship is first metion in the Thrawn Trilogy...In Heir to the Empire I believe. It doesn't mentioned whereLando got it though. It is probably hidden in one of the Tales of... books.
(In hindsight I guess I should have read geevo's post over the Lady Luck's History :-p, I just know I remember reading it in Zahn's Book Trilogy)

You know, that's easily fixed though. If the devsdrastically decreased the payout of every thing which creates credits (they'ld also have to lower the credit sinks)... you know... now that I think about it and realise just how many things that is... wow... not going to happen ever.
