If you're a novice smuggler, make sure you keep your tag up. You won't get any slicing or FP business, but if you're on Ahazi and I see you, I will offer you the containers I am carrying with me. I try to keep a couple on me in case I run in to a novice that is working on slicing.

I used to sell them for cheap on the bazaar, but then I noticed non-novices were buying them since they were cheap, figuring they may have the odd crystal or CA/AA in it. Now, it's PERSONAL!

You can also check your server boards to see if there is a local Smuggler's PA. I know there were a couple well-known Smugglers on Ahazi back in the day that maintained a huge stash of locked containers. They would give free slices for locked containers and then give the containers to novice Smugglers. A great bunch of guys!

I am a Master Smuggler. I have tried to slice 4 containers.

Itried usingMolecular Clamps and Flow Analyner Nodes they did not tell me which wire to cut.

I had to guess and opened 1 and lost 3.

Ii this the way it is suppossed to work, a 50% chance of guessing right?

Or is there a bug in the system.

Thanks

The slicing is broken. Apparently with pub 19 it will be fixed and you will not need any tools at all. From what ive heard, container and terminal slicing will always work. Wepon and armor slicing will depend on the quality of the loot component needed. I think that is how it is going.

If I'm wrong on anything here, please someone straighten me out.

Last week I sliced 4 containers, using a molecular clamp, and there were no issues.

It told me which wire to cut, I cut them, and I opened the container.

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04
