There has been some confusion I think because 'first-person' was mentioned as a camera option. It's odd people can make this mistake though, becasue a FP camera was in-game from launch! You zoom in fully and your in first-person mode! I always drive my Speederbike like that

1. Wes, don´t let the trolls get to you. If you say you had no idea, I trust you. I wonder if Tomo´s decision to step down had anything to do with this, though. That said, everybody should remember that the correspondants had to signa NDA, and violating this would be a really bad idea. This is not about being banned from a game or losing previledges, this is probably about large sums of rl money.
2. I am sorry, I didn´t take the time to read up on all the new threads yet, which one should do before posting. Just wanted to say that at the moment I am typing this, none of the links provided works, except for JT´s announcement. So I have to admit I am rather lost about the changes you guys are talking about. Its interesting though, that they have already begun to erase the traces.
3. As a customer paying a weekly subscription fee, I am simply dumbfounded. This is not about changing some game balances or mechanics, this is basically a whole new game. Since I haven´t tested it yet, I cannot say whether I like or dislike it, but the fact remains that all i have worked for during the last few month has been in vain. While I always play this game in the FPS view, I won´t be able to continue playing if this turn into a real time game, FPS or Diablo - like. The lag will simply be too great for my sytem.
I´ll give it a week or two to see how this is going on, and then I am out for good. I wonder if COLS is still recruiting...

That sucks and I'm sure there are several others in your position. Supposidly, we can only change professions once per respec. Meaning if we repsec to something other than smuggler, we can never come back to smuggler using another respec. No dabbling for us?

We've been asking for a rehaul, it's coming.
A guy like you could probably utilize the new trader profession. That is sounding almost as compelling as the Smuggler....

CL 55 smuggler / armorsmith here... my plan is to try and sell what I have already crafted, but take it off the vendor before the changes go live. I'm not crafting anything else for the time being, unless it's for personal use. I will be going smuggler, not trader. The only reason I went armorsmith is because I was getting tired of not having any content... and it sounds like that might be changing.
I will however keep mining any resources with good stats, as from what I can tell they will still be needed. Kind of funny that I've been seeing tons of people trying to unload their ADK's for cheap... but Tiggs only mentioned that decay from death is being removed. She didn't say anything about wear from use being removed. I kind of find it hard to believe that they would do away with wear altogether, so ADK's should still be useful.

Diablo? Cool, I loved that game. The only reason I left Diablo was for Diablo II, and the only reason I left D2 is the hacks that Blizzard claimed couldn't exist.
I'm all for giving it a try, and I think I'll like it. I'm even considering reinstating my alt account, though that will wait till I see what the results are.

What is really sickening right now, is the hordes of self-centered people out there who won't even consider giving this a chance before screaming about it. You all need to have an open mind about this.
1) While I'll be sad to make the decision to be either a Smuggler or "a Smuggler's best friend. The guy who can build the stuff", I think this is going to be either the salvation of SWG or the final pyre. Either way, I'm in.
2) 32 profs down to 9. Heck yes! We'll probably still get ignored but at a higher percentage.
3) We lose slicing. Umm, yeah. I never signed in to be a slice monkey. Then we got "Plan B". Like giving that up will keep me awake at night,
4) Balanced Jedi. You thought you were something special. You rubbed our noses in it and nerfed our specials. Welcome to Smuggler Town, jebay. Don't let night fall on you around these parts.
5) IM GOING TO MASH MY KEYBOARD AND SAY WES IS BAD!!!!! BAD BAD MAN 1111!1337!!!ELEVEN. Wes, anyone who would willing try to wrangle this monkey house is OK by me. Tomo too.
