In reply to the ones who went B just beacause "They didn't want to sell spice on the street" or whatever, well, currently, spice really isnt much of a seller, anyway, is it?

Contraband should be allowed on vendors. True some people are up in arms regarding the new bazaar system (including myself) because it makes it so people dont have to go to your shop (and paruze/splurge on your nicely decorated mall) to actually pick up the items themselves, but still I think that contraband items are an essential part of the game. They need to be easily attainable, especially spices. If I wasnt able to go grab a box of muon from the bazaar in theed for 2.5k, then I dont know what I'd do =)
These two are contradictory. If it's contraband, it's illegal. Never should illegal things be sold in the open and plain view at retail establishment. True, some find ways to deal it, but not in the same manner they deal in their legal goods. I'd say at least 90%, if not more, of deals for illegal goods is done on a person to person basis, not taken off the rack at Walmart.
As far as how essential they are to gameplay, they're not. You do not need spice or sliced gear to do anything. YouCHOOSE to use it because it allows you to do more. If you want to CHOOSE to use it, fine with me, but your CHOICE should come with potential consequences. Your CHOICE and the value of that CHOICE should be reflected by how hard it is to obtain the items and the risks you take by having them.
Man, I don't want to open this can of worms again, but just like the TEF system is said to be broken, so is the contraband system. People will learn to live with the GCW changes they don't like, and their gameplay will adjust, just as it will if slices and spices take on a true contraband status.
PS- I like how you name a price of 2.5k for a tier 4 elite profession item, that in itself should show you how screwed up the value of this stuff is.

There has been a resurgence in debate recently concerning merchants and their vendors. Along with this there has also been some discussion over contraband being sold on vendors. So, please choose one of the following options (and if possible, don't add in other options, such as Smuggler Vendors®):
A.Contraband should not be sold on vendors; it’s illegal and as such should not be so easily available, nor as easily identifiable by the authorities.
B.Contraband should be able to be sold on vendors; this is a game and I want to be able to sell/buy stuff easily!
In my mind removing contraband from vendors would be a step towards actual Smuggling; Smugglers would be required to take spice to their customers and customers would be required to take their weapons/armour to Smugglers. This would create a greater sense of illegality and general Star Wars immersion in my opinion.
There would of course be draw backs to such a change; I guess it’s up to every individual to decide whether those drawbacks would be worth the extra immersion.

A, please.
I know you asked us not to give other options, but I can't help it.
I would say no spice/sliced goods/knives/clamps/AUKs/WUKs/anything else to do with contraband on the bazaar or any normal vendor.
However, I would like to see Player City Cantinas come standard with a Bartender. If that Cantina is in a non-aligned city (the mayor/citizens have not deemed it Imperial or Rebel) then the Bartender, which can normally be filled by BioEngineers and Chefs, would have a special section for contraband. This should carry with it heavy penalties if discovered by Imperial, Rebel or Neutral authorities. All contraband items should be confiscated by authorities, the City should be fined X amount of credits per item of contraband found, there would be a surcharge imposed on all legit goods sold from that Bartender for Y amount of time, and those particular authorities would conduct patrols and random searches through the entire city forthe same amount of time.
But that'll never happen, so my vote is A.

If forced to pick, I would go with B, but I really do think having heard some feedback we need some more of the alphabet added!!!

A is the correct response, as the items in question are illegal, and so should not be sold on public vendors.
B is also a valid response for playability, as I wouldn't want to hang out on street corners selling spice (Um, Smuggler, not Drug Dealer...)
These things have to be carefully weighed, pros and cons, realism vs. playability.
In this case, since you asked for no other options, I have to say
"B"
because no other profession must hand sell their product. RP and all is fine, but if I have to stand around back alleys trying to sell spice, no spice will be sold. I have better things to do in-game.
Look into those "other" options and we can talk.

A...all the wAAAAAAAAAAy. I don't care how hard it is for everyone else to get what I got ta sell. If their only option is to come see me, or my scummy, villainous, creepy, dirty, low-down, vile brothers and sisters then all the better.
