I'm out,..made my obligatory going post. 2 years,..wow.
I'm doing the Starfleet Command games..there are still dynaverse servers. Silent Hunter III...
To be honest..just waiting for Star Trek: Online...you'll fine me there as Lt. Gost Dajtink, Engineering Officer.
I did quit once..but this time its for keeps. I can't see paying 15 dollars for the forums (which is why I came back originally...I love this place).

Just looked at their site, they're not release till first quarter 2006 it seems but I'm definitely checking that and LotR out.

Sorry.... I'm in. I just can't get that worked up over a game. I still have fun hunting with guildies, shooting pirates out of the sky, and taking out the occational enemy base. I'll quit when I get bored.

I'll join in here. I'm as disappointed in the game as many of you are if for different reasons. Check my sig. I have a master armorsmith, a master smuggler, and a ranger. Ground out smuggler the old fashioned way, pre CU, spice and slice, no double xp. He was fun. He is cancelled.

Name thy game.
I have already been slowly working my way out of SWG - the slicing system and without any smuggling happening for the next 2 years - I'm out.
This game is no longer Star Wars-centric. The game is on-par to be CW:G (Clone-Wars: Galaxy) at least that could justify all the Jedi.
I respected this game so much (past-tense there). Then I signed into the game and wanted to be an Armorsmith.I immediately saw 5 Jedi fighting in Mos Eisley and vowed to devote myself to the only Star Wars-esque profession left, Smuggler. Little did I know I was barely going to become a Scoundrel, let alone hope to smuggle anything.
Remember one thing SOE, YOU killed baby Han. YOU smothered him in his sleep whilst delusions of grandure, and blockade-running had occupied his attention long enough for you to shove the Jedi pillow over his face and hold it, ever so long as to meerely pacify him. Pacify him until you found it apt to shake him to death screaming "NO CONTENT! BAD! BAD SMUGGLER!"
Well, I'll have you know, baby Han didn't die, and he's more alive than ever. He's in the spirit and soul of EVERY scoundrel in the galaxy that's felt your spite and ignorance.
Interpret that however you want.

I've been in the game for some time and I've seen just how maligned the smuggler profession has gotten. But I refuse to jump on the latest "I quit" bandwagon.
The bannings also weren't the root of the problems right now. The problems were the people who got banned just coming back and screaming their heads off with brand new accounts with posts like "Ban me all you want SOE!! I'll just keep coming back!!!"
There are also some serious things to remember here. There is no Freedom of Speech clause anywhere in the forums. SOE wants to ban someone, they do it. Angus has by no means a spotless record for behavior in the eyes of the Mods, so once more he was banned. BUT...he comes back and tries to start some holy crusade. It's just demagoguery in which someone who is already mad comes back and tries to cite his own recent experience with "injustice" and attempts to incite the edgy populace.
Had neither of the banned posters come back and started the recent "OMG I QUIT" threads, then people would just be posting the usual "well, 7 days till blah blah gets back. Let's have beer and pie." Life would've gone on. This also isn't a world war by any means...there aren't multiple professions screaming outrage here over the 1 week ban of 2 smugglers. This is just 2 pissed off people screaming bloody murder and coercing people into parrotting the same.
LOL I believe that is what they are saying.... They have stopped having fun so they are stopping playing...
If I didn't get it for FREE with my other SOE accounts I would be stopping paying too...
