ok so I'm no exploiter by any means, but I mean I wanted to see if this worked , so I sliced 200 CDEF pistols, just in case it did work on a good gun I might want to keep it lol . Out of those 200 where I added the powerup after the slicing window was open, I got...................... 0 count em 0 , 45% slices, it never really seemed to make much difference to the DMG either, other than the fact the power up was on. Even when I took it off , it still had the right calculations for the percent up grade....

Just my 2 cents

First, nobody needs to get 45% slices to make a buck ... everyone knows it is random and accepts it

Second, I have told people that I will not use these exploits and to take their business elsewhere if they want to exploit (Because customers have come to me with powerups)

Third, I will use any trick in the book to make more money. I have found that I make a lot more money by being honest and respectful with all customers and not exploiting anything.

Finally, I hope the exploiter gets banned.

I am sorry, but you are mistaken. I have been a Master Smuggler for nearly a year ... no such thing as a slice above 35% (except for Armor ENC)

so far the only thing proven is that quality of tool doesnt affect the slice (dig for the threads, i cant rememebr them )

so dont worry about it...

personalyl i buy cheap grinding tools and still get a good average of slice results (apart from that damnable 22% speed slice that must show its ugly head EVERY TIME I DO MORE THAN 4 TEMS FOR A PERSON!!! sorry stress )

I slice anywhere from 300-450 items a week, depending on how busy I like to keep myself. The max slice I've ever gotten on a weapon is 35%. Max slice on armor would be a 40% encumbrance slice, just as others have explained. You know how many smugglers I've come across that claim to get 40%+ slices on weapons, that don't use pups in weapons while slicing? Zero.

Once again from the cheap seats: NO, TOOL QUALITY HAS NO PROVEN EFFECT ON SLICE QUALITY. GOOD TOOLS GET BAD SLICES. BAD TOOLS GET GREAT SLICES.

Secondly, Fair, I'm not saying you're lying. I AM saying that you're wrong. Weapons DO NOT GET slices over 35%. I've been doing this just as long as you, if not longer, and I've NEVER heard of anyone getting over 35% on a weapon, unless they were exploiting in some way or another. It's just not possible. And if it IS happening to you, well either you're bugged or exploiting in some way. That simple. People on this forum have been slicing since the first month or week of the game and have NEVER seen a slice on a weapon over 35%. It's not rare, it's technically impossible in the normal system (excluding bugs and exploits).
