Precisely. I can definitely see the Empire being toughest on the Rebel Scum -- they're going to do that anyway. And on random citizens and neutrals; they broke the law, fry 'em, but the Empire would not hesitate to be tough as nails on their own, as well. I'm sure it's nowhere near a walk in the park to be an enlisted member of a corrupt and oppressive regime. Hell, look what being an Admiral -- ADMIRAL -- who messes up gets you: choked.
You'd have to be really, really freaking high in rank in the Empire to just walk away scott-free from a crackdown scan that you just failed.

Sweet Stuff here!!! I think Imperial Stormtroopers with some stopping power might put a little bit of excitement in the game. Instead of an annoyance they could be an actual source of content. "Dammit, I'm getting scanned!" "Run Run!!" "He found my sliced DE-10" "Get outta there!" I like the idea of challenges. I can't stand that I can solo anything in this game.

After reading the focus thread I have come to the conclusion that the majority of the playerbase needs to stop playing SWG and pick up ^#%^# Candyland. I've never seen such a whiny bunch of nits in my entire life. It appears that people like their slices and muon but they want them in a 0 consequence enviroment. I'm all for anythuing that gives the empire more of a 'jack boot'. As a rebel I WANT to feel oppressed. It gives you something to fight for.
I need a link *putts on PWN gloves* cover me I'm going in....

LOL, i've been all over that thread like white on rice on a paper plate in a glass of milk during a snowstorm.
I am very hesitant to judge anyone as a whiner, however some of these people come TOO close.
They say the ST's are too strong, while I might credit them with that, I think that the current crackdown ST's are too weak. Maybe 200 HAM and 4k+ damage through 80% composite armor attacks from one ST is excessive... perhaps 30-50k HAM ST's with 1k damage to a 80% resisted player is appropriate.

Well I hear that they have already nerfed the Crackdown. As soon as I'm done patching, I'm going to test it out, but I hear that the ST's are now 13k HAM. I wonder how they will fight.
I swear I will blow a gasket if we get the Imperial Letdown Pt. II
