but my jedi doesnt have feign death its my alt so why are ppl getting pissed off at my jedi?

Because, in general, you've become perceived as a Jedi looking to exploit Feign Death, who's trying to fool us by saying it's for his other character. I'm not trying to call you a liar, so please don't take it that way. We Smugglers are a skittish bunch man. After so many dozens of Dev lies, we are extremely skeptical of anyone perceived as an "outsider" of the Smuggler forum. The way this thread developed (in part by us, and you) it just kept making you look worse to our over critical eyes.
Please don't take it personally. We're just trying too hard to play the "always look over your shoulder" character that an mover of illegal goods would represent.
Try testing your FD against weak opponents. I'm talking Womp Rat weak. If you are unable to succeed against even them, then FD could have a problem. If you manage to succeed then perhaps you just had extremely bad luck and the only bug is that you didn't get the "you failed to Feign Death" system message.
I haven't experienced problems with FD myself lately, but when I log on later tonight I'll give it a dozen tries or so and post what I find. In the meantime, I hope you submitted a /bug in-game so we can hope the Devs will at least take a peak at the code.

thanks man i dont take it personal i know smuggler needs some loving but i loved the rping factor that came with this....i did do it during the hologrind but my template for my alt called for it since i love the pistols. low blow rocks. i do believe that i had gotten bugged somehow but i dont think i went ld when i was feigned or i dont remember. im still bugged today and i have put in a /bug and a csr ticket thanks for not flaming me and assuming that my jedi was using it i will take the 164k loss if its i cant kill the bh i dont run from a fight but i do have ppl around me to keep me safe since i lose so much xp when im a jedi. i dont mean to cause trouble but i was hoping that ppl that were full fledged smugglers that do this day to day could help.

are you a moron or just pissed off that i have a jedi? my other character as stated above has the template of master pistoleer smuggler 0/0/4/0 bh 3/0/4/0 i was crystal hunting and since i have no medic i feigndeath to be able to heal i asked to see if it had broken on other or if i was bugged.
Try reading what I have written, THEN you can call me a moron. Did I not say that I considered that you were using FD with your non Jedi??? Okay... yea... I did. Close your hole, you don't even want to get into it with me.

I think someone gave him this same advice alot earlier in the thread. Drev knows his stuff though.

throwing my 2 cents in....
I have had the feign death ability since mid-july 2003....I still have it....I have never failed at FD.
I even tried it last night and it worked to perfection.

Ahh, that reminds me of beta...

Just so you know.
2 Days ago I did the vette and FD'd 5 times against a SBD, all successfully.
Yesterday I got caught by an invincible Force Crystal Hunter on Dantooine. He destroyed my swoop and caught me unarmored, but thankfully buffed, I took a few wicked hits then FD'd to get some HAM back. Getting back up I quickly put my armor on. I'm TKM and he was only 80% resist all, so I started wailing on him with Unarmed Hit3. But I was doing ZERO damage. My COmbat Thread said I was hitting for 2400-2600 damage per attack (average 2500 dps) yet his Health never went below 26468. Well, I wonder if this bugg was created by the fact that I FD'd. I submitted a ticket, but of course I was never contacted by a CSR.
To finish the story, I ran to try to break the aggro, and finally did, waited (with the Hunter still in range, and targeted) for the CSR to contact me. I was never contacted, (of course). So I went back to see if I could actually do some damage since the aggro was broken. I find this NPC inside a PA Hall (WHAT?!!!!!!) then he just disappeared. Was this a FD bug? Or just an invincible Hunter out roaming Dantooine.
