It was easier to get to than Bounty Hunter...

That, and I enjoy acting like a shady criminal type.

i rock so much, i had to be a smuggler...thats how cool i am.

i mean, all the wommen folks chasing me around, of course i'm asmuggler. how weird would it be if i was a squad leader or bounty hunter and there were chicks chasing me? that'd make peoples heads explode!

i cant be responsible for people's heads exploding, cuz then i'd have to clean it up. so i'm a smuggler to keep the world clean.

originally i got smuggler to slice my own equipment, it was costing me a fortune (i never got less then 5 of anything sliced, 10 was my normal amount, not cheap to even buy 10 T21's).

now i'm almost a master weaponsmith and will start working on mastering smuggler to hopefully make a name for myself for awsome weapons (will be very difficult but if it wasn't what's the point?)

Well I'm new at it, however, I can see that when played right the smuggler profession is very fun, espexially in some role playing. Also, it is incredibly profitable, since I can use low quality materials to create high quality spices, for example, I made a factory run of 1K muon gold, of these 40 crates I placed 20 on the bazaar for 5K a piece, within 1 day they all sold, so i made 100K, minus expenses I made about 3K per crate. Plus now my guild has 20 crates of muon gold to hand out as needed. Not to mention that simply standing in Coronet you will receive a /tell within 5 minutes asking you to slice something.

It isn't as profitable as say a weaponsmith or armorsmith, but it makes me money. Plus I have been grinidng XP on dant, so money has been rolling in that way.

Also, need to stock up on spices cause I'm gonna be one big drug addicted Jedi.

Because its the closest thing to a rogue this game has. I always play a honorable thief in RPG's . That and I like to be able to slice.

If you asked before I got to play the game it was because of the role I had all laid out for my character. Release shattered that dream. Was going to be a musician, who smuggles things through the imperial cities in his musical instruments / cases. Too bad we dont actually smuggle anything....and now I've given up musician. My how this games shortcomings ruin dreams, but its okay, I got a new one .

I went smuggler from the gates, then dropped it when I found out that smuggling was non-existant. Just recently picked it back up, gonna smuggle stuff in JTL...I just know (hope) they're going to add it!

Originally like most everyone else, being able to slice my own stuff and the dirty fighting tree apealed to me. Then the community became my home. Smuggler's are just the best people you'll find in swg. Being able to make a fortune running an afk fp macro isn't a bad thing. And of course, chicks dig the bad boy types.

And one day... we will smuggle...

It's simply that, 'looking at the approaching Imperial customs control squad and thinking while you put on your best smarmy grin, "I'm gonna walk right by you with this pack full of illegal weapons and goods and there ain't a damn thing you can do about." And failing that, blowing the 'smoke' from your blaster long before their bodies hit the floor...

To put it simply, it's the sheer style and charisma that goes with being a smuggler. That and the arrogance towards any form of authority.
