OH MY...umm...HAHAHA I'm not familar with smuggler or how it works or anything, I just get armor or weapons and have my local smugglers slice away. So the other day I need my new T21 sliced, but I was messing around in my inventory and I accidently put a power up on my new T21...so now I'm thinking "shoot, if this makes it unslicable then I'll have just wasted a really nice powerup." Without my usual smugglers online, I started asking around if I had to remove it before it could be sliced. Everyone just ignored my question and one guy said it cost 80k. I was totally confused, so I just removed the powerup and lost it and then got the T21 sliced. After reading this, it ALL makes sense. Hope no one reported me for supposedly asking for an exploit when i was really just clueless!

I dunno, i kinda like the idea of them finding out the hard way, after they've already traded weapons with their cutomer. Good way to give them a bad name in the buisness. 
As far as all the already pup sliced weapons go, they'll probobly bring in bank for a while. Whoever is sellingwill have to take super risks though, considering now there is NO argument on wether or not thiswas an exploit.But even if nothing else is done then the decay process will eventually relegate them to the order of wall hangers.

As master smuggler, I get passed weapons with powerups already on them fairly often. I never assume anything when this happens. I used to ask the customer if they minded losing the powerup, but now I just remove it without a word. A powerup already on the weapon is NOT an exploit, so dont worry. Now a couple of times I have been traded a weapon AND a powerup (seperate from the weapon) and in those cases there isnt much doubt aboutwhat is expected of me. I usually just cancel the trade window and say "move along."

Only been smuggling few weeks - had several requests for "special" slices now instead of just dropping trade I can /shout no you cheating scumbag its been fixed
Maybe they are planning to give us a revamp next week but like this /whisper keep it a secret maybe they wont notice and tell the Jedi were actually working on something that doesn't concern them

Yay for the smugglers! You've been waiting for your revamp for a long time. Us creature handlers had our revamp last December I believe and look how great we are...!

Woot. Glad they can fix something when they know it is a problem.
I sent in a bug report in game that stated that the Powerup slice was still doable.. maybe I helped.. lol.
