/agree. When I'm slicing bulk formy guild's armor guy, I burn through at least a dozen chickens.

I must say, though, that I have not seen a pattern other than the factthat well over two thirds of my armor slices are encumbrance. Consistantly. Maybe I'm bugged.

Its a ROLLING DICE SYSTEM. Its TOTALLY RANDOM! This is CONFIRMED by the DEVS! Einstein thought whole his life about this issue, you cant say that you figured it out!

IS IT HARD TO GET!?!?!?

You dont like what I post?

Some people need some remedial math. Its a five point span for one. That means if its 27.5 it goes from 25 to 30. So that is a very good aproximation. Assumeing you are looking for a higher slice. Next the point is if you were less then a decent player you could wait until the progression brings you to a 32.5 and then slice a krayt weapon. Simply by cutting daggers till you get there.

Now my question is this you guys think its random. Fine but I havent seen any of you test my system out for yourselves. Why is that too good to check it out afraid I am right. Afraid you will have to eat crow.

Devs have been known to just spew complete nonsense. Why do you think they would tell you the pattern to a system they designed to look random. How self defeating could that be. If they say well yes theres a pattern but its a secret. Guess what eventually someone will figure out what the system is. Better to say well magical fairies randomize it.

Remember these are the guys that swear up and down that tusken rifles were never at no time kinetic. Anyone saying there were is wrong. Yeah and I used tusken rifles to hunt klikniks in week two for no reason whatsoever.

Please perform the following experiment:

a) Slice 1000 CDEF knives and write down your results.
b) Put them in one column.
c) Put your pseudorandom Fibonacci-esque sequence in a second column beside the slices.

Empirical results can be very convincing.

I've been Master Smuggler for 15 months now, and i still keep track of all slicing results, and have done so since day one.

If there is a pattern to slicing results then it spans over 1.5 million slices before it loops.
And i'm currently on my 1.635.236th slice and there is no pattern yet.

Weapon Slices: 868.352, and no pattern
Armor Slices: 678.834 andno pattern
Containers Slices: 87.794
Terminal Slices 256

I think i can safely say that there isn't a pattern, even in what wire you have to cut first.

These are empirical results If I am getting a one hundred percent appromation that tells me I am on to something. Even if this is not the exact system they are useing its so damn close its uncanny.

Go ahead guys try it out for yourselves and see.

The reason you guys are not seeing the patern is the number layout 1 1 2 3 5 8 1 3 4 7 1 1. Looks random to me. If it looked like a pattern it would be useless

Your statements as compelling as they seem, do not alter my opinion as to the nature of slicing.. and heres why:

Your logic is flawed. To assume that the random numbers the server provides to determine slicing results follows a pattern is to assume that YOU and YOU alone are the only person recieving random numbers from the server, which we know in an MMO this cannot be the case. If there was indeed a Patter to the Random number Generator, it woul be diffused over several hundred different users on the server.. IE I may get a 1, person two gets a 1, person 3 gets a 2 etc.. by the time I slice another Item It could be up to 8 or more likely the pattern would have recycled itself several times by then.. it could be anything.

All that is assuming that there is in fact a pattern, which I find Highly unlikely based on the Recently ressurected post by Wayneinaustin which contained the statistical data from his whole master smuggler slicing career at that time(4.5 months of slicing stats)

This of course does not show that slicing is 100% random as many say, to the contrary.. it shows that statistcally, Exreme low end, or Extreme high end results are much more rare. This has been called, in that thread, a Bell Curve, which indicates that slicing results are not derived from a single random number, but rather from adding several random numbers together. (as in Rolling two, six-sided Dice, as opposed to one twelve-sided).

If you truly want anyone in this community to believe your Pattern thoery I suggest you provide the emperical data that has already been suggested.
