I really want to believe this, but I'm finding it difficult to. When George comes to my house and says, "Sam, I need your help with Ep. 7,8,and 9." I'll believe it. If it is true. You can bet your ass that I'll be heading down to Australia to try to get in as an extra.

First let me say how glad I am to see Mark Hamill looking so well. He looked pretty bad for a while. So good on ol' Mark.
Secondly, the only thing I'll say about an actual sequel set of trilogy is that I hope to GOD that Lucas isn't writing it himself, merely doing the story, and for the love of all that is holy keep that over-sized ewok out of the damn director's chair!
Thirdly...a TV show? KICK ASS!! I hope it's animated, really. That will make it far more cost effective and easier to do. So yeah...BRING IT!

One more comment to add since someone brought up how Mark Hamil's been doing... How many people realize that he's been working as a voice-over actor for years now? He did the Joker in one of the Batman cartoon series and more recently lent a voice to Wolverine in the game, X2: Wolverine's Revenge... to be able to accurately do two characters that are so very different shows some real talent.

lol! You know I never thought that anything Star Wars can be truly this awful. Jefferson Starship??? COME ON!!!
When I think of "Star Wars TV Show", that Holiday Special is what immeidately comes to mind. Ah, Wookie Life Day, Luke's Disco Hair, and Carrie Fisher singing the Star Wars song (yes, it has lyrics!).
The only other TV shows I remember had something to do with Ewoks and Endor, although I can't remember if they were movies or TV series. I do remember thinking it was odd that some family had apparently crashed their RV on Endor and were walking around like they were out camping at a National Park for the weekend.

The Ewok one was a show, and they are coming to DvD soon, the Ewoks, not the holiday special.

Lucas was on Charlie Rose - a PBS chat show for those unfamiliar - and he basically said that he made ep I, II and III to give himself the ability to produce and finance more avant guarde stuff. He stated that all the money he made from ep 4 went into ep 5, 5 went into 6 and then he got a divorce which wiped him out financially. He then took a break to raise his kids and only worked part time on projects like the Indiana Jones movies. The latest movies are his attempt to build a company that can take risks and produce movies more like THX-1138 and American Graffitti.
Keeping these statements in mind, I'm sure a tv series and more movies would be a real possiblity as efforts to keep Lucasfilm viable if his new and risky projects fail.

The Clone Wars mini-cartoons were pretty good, so if they went with something along those lines, I can see something good coming out of a weekly TV show. I just remember the crap that was around when I was a kid (Ewoks, Holiday Special, Droids) that didn't even seem good at the time. And this is from someone who thought "Tales of the Gold Monkey" was the bomb-diggity (most shows that seem awesome when you're a kid don't age very well when you see them again as an adult).
