Hi SdeWndr,
/hug to a fellow Naritian.
I wont send any namesof people that wanted a PU slice (in whatever words they asked for it , "special slice", "guaranteed slice" .. whatever). No use getting someone into trouble that wants the best result for his weapon and has a different idea about was is legal in this game and what is not - for them its just another exploit that no dev cares about.
AS cant ask for a PU slice, so to my knowledge all Naritian AS are clean. Some WS asked for it and I talked to them via RL mail about the possible consequences (and to my knowledge no PU slices have appeared on their vendors recently - the Flurry incident may have served as a good example here). I suggest you do the same if one asks for it. No spatial, no PM in game or in forum (aka evidence in case of banning threat).
Help me bump this until something is done about the exploit.

I will 5 star anyone that bumps this thread until this exploit is gone.

Nice. My solution is to take both the weapon and the power up. Slice the weapon as normal. Keep the power up.
Trade the weapon back. Get paid. Have an extra powerup for my vendor!

Take the gear, slice it normally, keep the PuP & report them.

I'd prefer if they fixed it so any powerups were removed upon implementation of the WUK, since a WUK isn't used up till after you slice the 2nd wire. So around there, it should auto-remove any powerups before the slice increase is implemented to the weapon.
I've lost even guildies business who want me to do it.
I'm sorry, but I don't exploit. Even for my own weapons.

Problem is - you just lost a customer for good.
Thats what we have to live with , I know, but we would NOT have to lose customers because of an exploit !

I am a WS on Eclipse. I agree with poster, this issue needs to be fixed yesterday. It's frustrating losing business because you refuse to sell exploited weapons.

Amen to that. But its hard to prove that it was sliced using an exploit, unless the WS/Smuggler is stupid enough to use PU sliced and unsliced weapons from the same factory run on the same vendor so the percentage increase over the base weapon can be calculated. Or uses powerups that result in a higher rating than the 35 % maximum slice increase over the best theoretically possible weapon (which is even harder to proof, but has happened on Flurry at least). Also 1000 identical 35 % sliced weapons might give you a hint :-)
I think the HONEST Weaponsmiths use EVEN more cash to this exploit than smugglers. You might repost this issue on the WS board and keep bumping it till the exploit is fixed.
Once again ... 5 stars to anyone bumping this thread. (cant 5 star Jibbrish and Phoenix for reasons unknown - will try another day).

No worries. I get all my posts 1-starred by Ligma and his little kid rebel chronies on Scylla. They are total forum trolls and 1-star me no matter what I post - be it good or bad. I've reported them each time though. Hopefully they'll end up banning Ligma's 2nd account from the forums as well.
