Luke was the last hope (well, aside from Leia, but she was very much a reserve), and yoda knew it. And thats the only reason he got the training from him.

Of course,everyone unlocking 6 branches of FS is now a last hope, for the rest of us, who wish for an endgame where you dont have to be Jedi...no hope.

*sigh* Last night in game I got into a lovely gunfight in the Mos Eisley Cantina. Blaster bolts flying, people yelling, a bomb droid going off....

And two jedi force healing the guy we were trying to kill.

Over. And over. And over again.

Needless to say, we lost, and the Rodian we were fighting stood gloating over our corpses. Now I get an images of an arc of lightninglike force flowing out of some guys hands into Greedo as he faced Han, healing him as Han shot him over and over and over and over..every wound being healed even as it was delt, until there wasdead Han Solo and a Greedo getting paid by Jabba.

I don't mind getting my butt handed to me. Heck, one of my favorite fights ended with me knocked out on the floor of the very same cantina. But this....just makes me sad.

I want my Star Wars back.

CapnKate, you are now my official heroine. Best post I've read on the forums in a long time. It hits very close to home for me because I was a Master Musician and Entertainer. The busy cantinas were my home, and you're completely right, the hologrind destroyed my cantinas. I never saw a pre-hologrind Jedi. Your experience is how this game should have stayed. What the game is now, it's just completely wrong.

I guess it's what SOE thinks will keep the game alive though.
