I just tried this 'chain dazing' on a level 50 rebel npc in Theed, to see what the whining was about.
I have a CL of 55 (master smuggler/dancer, with ranged support 4, for the record), and it took me over 12 MINUTES to kill this npc 5 levels lower than me, at 3 meters range. That was using Panic Shot as my default auto-shot, and EVEN using pistol whip and knocking the clown down during the episode. Hell, they could leave Panic Shot as it is right now, and no one would suffer.
Anyonewhining that this is unbalanced or 'game breaking', is clearly talking out of their arse, and should be repeatedly whapped about the head and shoulders, preferably with a pie and a 6-pack of beer.
I was testing this out last night with Concussion shot and Stopping shot on some CL 79 MOBs. Most of the time if you used one then tried to use another when the first ran out, it didn't stick. I don't know how the new one will work, but I suspect it's pretty much the same. This would be a problem if our specials stuck every time. I've used roots on MOBs enough to know that it's a good bet the first time, with diminishing returns afterwards. And I am willing to bet that Jedi have better defenses than Tortors or Huf Duns.
