Thread: What does everyone want as a question for the next 19 answers?
Personally, I like the JTL question...
I would like to think that a question about the Community Doc would be good, but the answer I envision is something along the lines of "I'll take the information to the Developers and work with Smuggler_Caylin to get what we can implemented."
Sorry, I would rather have the vague answer about JTL...

Well Caylin...you can ask your JTL question...or even ask the spice question. But, after reading the 19 NON-answers from yesterday, I'm pretty sure that no matter what you ask, you'll get an answer that falls into one of these categories:
1) We want to, but it's a tough change.
2) We'll get back to you.
3) After JTL.
4) After GCW / Combat.
5) It's that way for a reason (which we're not going to tell you), so deal with it.
After reading that crap from yesterday, it only gave me LESS hope for this game. For all their talk about "better communication", this just isn't cutting it any more. I've cancelled and will wait and see what happens with the Smuggler revamp, but if things continue down this same road, I doubt I'll ever return.
/salute.
TH wil say - "good things comingwait and see" and that isa little to vaguefor me. That has been his answer on any Jump question anyone has asked.

Hotdog is 1000000% correct and why cant we ask about Jump after our re-vamp. Its not like we wont have a lot more 19 questions between now and Jump.

I already know the answer to any question you want to ask about JTL and that is "Working on it- will have more info in a month. It's all very exciting- blah blah blah"
What I want to know is if we are wasting our time trying to get smuggler bounties approved because they aren't open to the idea in the first place.
I want to know if we are wasting our time pushing for things like:
contraband being removed from the bazaar
stronger punishments for carrying contraband
STs cracking down on people spamming about illegal activities in front of the Starport.
...because they don't want to implement things that would affect the game that drastically.
I want to know if they are even willing to hear about our ideas on Mask Faction, alternatives to just crafting spice (I don't think we should give up crafting spice) and the ability to pick a slice or are these things to far fetched or overpowering.
Basically I want to know if we are barking up the wrong skill tree or not.
"When can we go to Disneyland, Mommy?--Someday, son, someday. When's someday?--It's not right now." No thanks. As much as I'd like to hold the Devs' feet to the fire about what's coming, they're not going to say squat until they are ready, and you all know it.
How about something with a real answer that will clear up something about what we really can or cannot do in game right now? My suggestion:
Smuggler tools all allow for experimentation, including those from other professions, i.e. AUKs and WUKs. Can we get a definitive answer on if any of these tools do or do not have *any* effect on the slice achieved, or is it really all random?
This is a real, relevant question with in-game implications. AUKs/WUKs that have been experimented up sell for far more than non-experimented ones, and smugglers often claim to use only high quality tools--can we clear up whether or not this is legitimate?
From what i remember this question has been aswered. Experimentation and quality has no bearing on the slice, it is totaly random. Im not sure where that post is but that question was answered like a month ago.

I think you all know deep down that we're not going to get anything definite regarding JTL or our revamp at this time. Why waste this question on some pie-in-the-sky dream for future relevance?

Slicing
Does the quality of tools/weapons have any bearing on my slice%?
Many folks have tested this: Good slices have come from bad gear, bad slices have come from good gear. There has been no definitive Yes or No as to whether it affects the general trend of slices.
Bottom line: Unknown but general (99%) opinion is No.
--------------------
- Have the very simple Master Smuggler description explain in detail the benefits of reaching Master?
- Get to Pick-o-Slice or will it be random?
- Be able to get on BH terminals and hunter by PC BHs?
If not those specific questions, then the question you DO ask HAVE TO HAVE A "YES or NO" answer or a choicegiven to them as the answer.Thats the only way we'll know that the answer is known and true.
/rant off
Thanks!!
Caylin, propose your JTL question so we can hopefully incorporate any knowledge we get from that into our revamp document. And if we get an answer such as:
HOTDOG wrote:
"We have a number of plans we would like to implement for player smuggling in SE. We can't be specific as the plans are still coming together but we hope to use the deep space zone as a major tool in "illegal transportation". Nothing is set in stone at the moment.
-TH"
then the next time we're up for our 19 answers, decline to submit a question. Or ask something like:
"Since the smuggling community has never received any solid answers from this question/answer forum, even when these answers are vital to us promoting solutions to the development team that will positively impact SWG as a whole, the smuggling community asks what the point of asking any future questions will be? What purpose does it serve to ask questions, when the oft-used 'double-speak' answers we are given provide no real answers or information for the playerbase to disseminate?"
Any question about JTL is going to be met with an answer that will read so close to HOTDOG's that TH might as well copy and paste it. You should also realize that they are not doing any real work on the smuggler revamp at this time, they are coding the jedi-revamp, then the holocron revamp, then the GCW revamp, the JTL and *then* the smuggler revamp. Any question about our revamp will be wasted, IMO.
