So glad I cancelled long ago and pretty well just stopped playing. My end date is the 27th and to tell the truth I'll be glad when it comes because I will forever delete this waste of fricken carp off my computer!

Well, I'd say all this negative feedback does have its place...
As you see, a few in this thread have already made point by point posts of WHY we don't like the answers, all the extra negative feedback does is re-inforce HOW MUCH we don't like the answers

heh just read this post and I can say is BROWN NOSER !!
the original line was, Smuggler wasn't a COMPLETE profession until JTL, and that Smuggler had been designed from the start as a space-related profession.
/hatsoff to the Devs. I'm rendered dumbfounded by your complete and utter disdain for your community. you make some of the worst goverments in history look like boyscouts.

You forgot one thing-- Not only are we not getting any evasion skills, but our Crowd Control has never been where it's supposed to be. and it's only a matter of time before this upcoming CC nerf affects PVP as well...

There is no point to smuggling missions if they do not include a space component. Even if it is as simple as launching into space, going to a WP with a chance of being attacked, and then hyperspacing to another system. I will not wast my time on going to a mission terminal and then to a NPC. If this is all we are going to get, don't bother.

Good. The last thing I want is to be given new content and then have a way of avoiding the new content. Be a Smuggler and take your chances.
- Outside of a mission setting, is there any penalty for a player carrying contraband? for example, will players carrying large amounts of contraband be unable to use public transport as with some Smuggler missions?
- Not under the current design
At the very least, we should not be able to use public transport on smuggler missions. If you are a smuggler, you need to have your own ship. Novice Pilot should be a prerequisit for smuggler.
- What happens to contraband on a vendor at the time the patch hits?
- This has not been decided yet at this time.
Let it sell out. Don't let it be put back up if it expires and don't let any new be put on.
- Will Smugglers receive any warning through underworld contacts etc. of them being on the BH terminals?
- If we implement “BH hunting smugglers” then you will opt into the system. Only PvP missions can possibly put you on the terminals.
This needs to be WHEN, not IF. The opt in is a great idea, but the option needs to be there. Space is the first component that HAS to be in any smuggling mission system, and the option of player bounties is the sencond. There is little point without it.
- Will the cargo actually be visible in our inventory? (e.g. some form of locked container)

Would said cargo itself count as contraband in a scan and would there be more serious repercussions to having it than a 500cr fine?
- Not under the current design, but possibly.

- Is there scope with this system at a later date to introduce other contraband items that need to be Smuggled? (an example could be rare resources found only on a certain planet... such as what we see on Mustafar!

- Sure, the system can support it. But not under the current design.
If the system can support it, then put it in. Give smuggling missions a point and a reason to intereact with other players.
- Since spice crafting has been removed from the Delinquency tree, what if anything will take its place?
- No replacement has been considered at this time, but that may change.
How about some unarmed mods? Imporve meele speed and accuracy, maybe give us an unarmed special. We have the unarmed requirment, why not make it usefull? At master Smuggler, we should have maybe half the mods that a Master TKA has. Give us a KD that will let us run.
- Once a Ranger has stolen a Smuggler's cargo, can the Smuggler still get the cargo back by killing the Ranger?

This needs to be a yes. Ranger has a risk for coming after us, we have a chance to finish the mission.
- When in space, will a craft's cargo hold have anything to do with what is transportable? (Smuggling crates of spice in a Z-95 or Tie-Fighter isn't exactly, well, practical, while cargo holds on POB sized ships would be able to hold far more/make more sense).
- No space interaction with this version of the system at all.
Not every smuggler is an Ace (although they should be, and Smuggler's Alliance at that). This needs to be seriously considered, with an increased risk/reward for taking on bigger cargo in bigger ships. If you fly a YT you should expect tier 5 MOBs.

My smuggler is cancelled already. I logged in here to see what was gonna happen. I haven't seen anything to make me reactivate my account. I'll keep playing my entertainer for now. This "revamp" is a f*cking joke.
A day one vet that's kept Smuggler looking at yet another "revamp" while thinking about his token respec.
Don't get me wrong, I want to keep Smuggler, but I want the revamp to make Smuggler worthy of having a capital S.
