Smuggler Archive

What's smuggling other than being a delivery service by other means, man? And in reality smuggling doesn't require many skills at all. Maybe a stomach capable of swallowing a bunch of bags full of China White or Maui Wowi so you can board the plane. Smuggling in this game is best represented by the delivery missions, and any fool can do those.

To me a good smuggler is resourceful. And that's what we are. We can hack into systems, create contraband stuff, and do contraband modifications. Now I guess that's the sort of thing that seperates the master black-marketeer from the thirteen year old who is runnin' the rock on a Chicago streetcorner, but how do you represent that in the game?

Maybe what we need is some sort of modification to the basic delivery mission script, or make leveling a matter of running delivery missions from special underworld NPCs. I don't know man, but I do think the multi faceted skills that we have as smugglers are more representative of the sort of skills real underworld masterminds may possess if they were in an SWG world.

Don't know man, just giving some thoughts.

It was the thing I wanted to do when I first heard about SWG. When everyon else was playing with Jedi action figures I was playing with han solo. Just think ppl smuggler revamp.
