they said that wouldnt ever happen, so they had better not do it, as it would be one of the more boldface lies they have ever told. that IGN report makes it sound like it might be an ace pilot cert. or maybe a cert u get after you complete a hard space quest, that would make more sense.

May I ask why?
What they say is usually right, at the time its said, but if you think they're beyond doing something like making vehicle control useful by addign sapce mods you're crazy.

Hmm, maybe i've been playing the game too long, but im not at all impressed by the pending upcoming expansion. Perhaps this is SWG's way of moving the timeline...backwards; we already have tons of Jedi...and now, *clap* we have Jedi Star Fighters
So many hopes for this game...

guys you're focusing on the bad here. "jedi starfighters", who cares? there is not a sizeable percentage of the population that enjoys space after master anyways. jtl is a $30 insta-travel ticket, nothing more. how about looking at this from the perspective of new things to do? something else to have fun with. yes we deserve info on our revamp, but are you going to let your cyncism over that area affect the other areas of play as well? as I said earlier, the dev team that made this and the dev team that is doing the CU and post-CU revamps are two different teams altogether. their only relation is that they work on the same game

I'd like to see this discussion consolidated...we have 3 threads on this right now...and as this is the largest, lets keep it in here...

Well crap, they can announce this but can't say a word about our revamp. Kind of speaks volumes about the state of our revamp I think...
JTL with freaking Jedi flying around...
Not impressed...I knew everything would get pushed in front of us.

this was already in front of us. TH said that this thing has been in the works since work on the CU began. how many times do I have to point out that there are multiple dev teams, and the one that made what you see here, is not the one assigned to post-CU revamps (i.e. smuggler)

guys, I'm not happy with the state of our prof either, nor am i content with the way the devs have handled it. But you guys need to lighten up a bit today. this is something new at the very least. i love how everyone's getting hung-up on the "jedi starfighter", thats the smallest thing about this expansion. it doesnt even say it is "jedi only" it only says "highly skilled pilots". how about the whole new PLANET they are adding? huh? screw space, no one goes there after they master. at least no master i know does, it's boring. space is more of a grind than anything other game system.

And how many times do I have to point out that there is absolutely NOTHING based on trackrecord that would indicate THIS time is any different than the others. The total lack of communication ought to be pretty damn indicitive of that.
Your blind faith is amusing but hardly convincing that anything substantial is really going to come our way. Multiple development teams doesn't mean any of them are going to work on smuggling for us...only that they'll be working on something and past history shows that everything comes before smugglers and they will NEVER be short of 'something' to place before us.
