I T-boned a guy that ran a stop sign in front of me. The entire front of my Durango was missing from the wheels forward. The accident even bent the frame of my SUV. The bill for repairs came out to just over $12,000 and my vehicle blue booked at $15,000 at the time. They repaired my vehicle instead of totalling it. Now, because of the damage, it is worth half of the blue book.

and that is why when you are in an accident you make sure you go to a doc and a chiropractor, get the xrays and make sure nothing is out of wack. If it is out of wack you get a month of back massages and adjustments and the insurange is quick to settle for 3X the medical expenses as a payoff. In other words if you have 2k in damages expect a check for 6k.
