So much good stuff in that post, it would seem they are going in the right direction. Im really looking forward to seeing many more players in Star Wars armor and ranged weapons actually being useful. Good stuff, thanks Nick.

My guess is closer to 6 months rather than 2. If we were to see this hit live in 8 weeks, I think we'd be seeing a little more information than what we have now, plus Beta would most likely be starting soon. As far as I know, Alpha hasn't started so...use that as a guesstimate.

Yep that was my thinking as well, hoping more like 3 to 4 months though. Ahhh guess we will have to wait and see.

Yep that was my thinking as well, hoping more like 3 to 4 months though. Ahhh guess we will have to wait and see.

When it's ready.
That's the best answer the devs can give us and for me, it's the most comforting answer there is. Truth be told, I don't know how long this will take and given this is first attempt SOE's ever made at changing the way combat works in one of their games, on such a scale, while the game's live, I doubt the devs have a concreterelease dateeither (although that's not to say they don't have internal estimates and deadlines).

I put my money on the beginning of the summer. Give them 1 month to finish Alpha. Let's say it takes 3 months to beta test. Give it another month for polish and Test Center garbage. That puts you at the beginning of June.
The commando correspondentgave hispersonal guestimate to be about a half-month to a month or so before mine.
Whatever goes on, I expect anything though. This change could very well be a breakthrough in combat systems and fall so perfectly into place that it is ready next week. Crap happens.

Well, we know SOE's past of shoveling things out in a hurry, unless it has to do with Jedi, but sense this will effect Jedi indirectly, so who knows?
