well before i dropped smuggler ( regrinding it again ) i charged 25k a slice if they asked me to slice it there and then but as i hated slicing i charged 7k but thats ahazi
i see people charging 3-5k norm here but alot do the " pay what u think its worth " too

I thought that too at first. I started out charging 4K, but moved to 7, becasue It's not really worth my time. Sounds arrogant or whatever, but I make like 0.0000000003% of my income slicing. It's more like a public service and people don't seem to mind the cost. That 7K is 10 minutes worth of missions for them. My conscience is clean.

err... minor note: not all servers have thesame economy... i have heard of servers where a 2300 buff would cost 10k. on Farstar, this kind of buffing could go up to 25k some time ago(back to 16k average now)
as others increase service-prices, so will we. but i'll most likely stay put at 5k a slice.

At Master I was charging:-
Free - Less than 21%
5k - 21-30%
10k - 31% and over
Now I just charge 1 price, 5k per slice.
To be honest, when I weighed up the cost of producing my tools I decided 10k was too much. Being the lazy bugger I am I find it much easier to keep track of as well, don't have to keep making a note of each slice and working out a bill, it's just a case of "Ok, 5 items sliced, 25k please"
Oh, and guildmates get their stuff for free.

If I get cought while running very fast through cities I just say /tip whatever you feel the slice is worth. Usualy works out fine but.....
(I might as well put this story here)
I decided that I'd slice for one of our servers top armour smiths on a few of her products.
I really did cry when she put like 15 million worth of items in my inventory and that was only like 5 items including and expectional ris helmet. I was terriefed I even begged not to slice the helmet but she insisted I did it.
Cut along story short the slicing gods were with me The ris helmet is now 90% base very very low HAM and now worth about 8 million she said. + The other items got fairly good slice.
So she threw some more stuff into my inventory to slice.
Two 39% stun helmets I bumped up to 88% base. Another was 87% base and a couple were low encumbrance. Think I bumped another 2 pieces of armour up to 90% as well.
Now she was giving me 10k per slice which is fine.
The problem was I ended up walking away 1.8 million creidts lighter cause I ended up buying one of the 2 fecking base helmets

Before i became a smuggler i used to hate people who charged 10k per slice.
Usually i charge 6k per slice.
