loot rates are .... BAD

just cleared the NS stronghold down to min and back around killing the sentinels and elders.. group looted 1 (ONE) new smuggler component (mandalorian_interframe)... unstacked.

That sounds GOOD. The more rare, the more expensive, the more clout, prestige, and profit surrounding upper level slices. That's my take on it. I plan to make a lot of money as a smuggler this way. Believe it.

Unstacked? Frowny face.

Hopefully GM's got a close eye on the drop rates.

if they were stacked i *might* agree with you

i also don't know what level that part is

but that's a rough take when you think its for a slice that some may not care about and only on one piece in a suit of armor.

(plus.. all the parts, even the base loot items seem to be slow to drop like this)

Mandalorian interframe is for....

Hardening level 3, so the top level of Hardening.

He already stated that he was going to start slow and then increase as necessary. Not a bad plan considering the alternative -- having too many and pulling them out. Just imagine the screaming.

Okay... It kinda sounds like now, the percentages are the same, and the caps are the same, everything is just the same as Plan A, except now someone needs to labor for hours for a slice... Tell me, did anyone really think the slices in Plan A were uber? It seems most pro-plan B people were expecting uber-slices in the 30% range, that would be worth the effort, but it don't look like it. Even if the %'s were changed, the caps are still there, and most said that it was very hard for a weapon to get past the 8% damage cap. Anyone feel like plan B really stinks now?

P.S. I've also looked through all these forums, and have heard of only one person looting a components, which was a level 3 mandalorian armor piecey, thingie for armor hardening 3... Not sure, but I think it would also require the loot from slice number 2. /shrug

those in game have alos looted the basic simple kit or smuggler kit.. whatever its named.. off imps and lok mercenaries... but again, the drop rate there has been low

and yes, you need to go through one to get to the other

I always liked breakage- coulda been called "jammed" to make it better- this is going to be difficult. My slices are going to cost an arm and a leg. I can see that now. Doesn't chap my hide either way. Slices will now be a high priced item and I'm a Master Smuggler.

yeah the cap has to go or slices wont be worth squat

if the percentages stay the same nobody is going to pay big bucks for a 8% damage slice when they can just get a better crafted weapon. then again if the cap goes the only slicing worth doing is on high end guns especially if slices are going to be as costly as they seem.

It would be better to make a slice like adding a powerup ((they arent affected by the cap are they?)) then you could easily have it wear down separately from the weapon itself... not sure if thats a good idea or not, just sort of popped out.

Ok, it's been a couple of days. Does anyone have any slicing percentages on the new system on TC right now? Are they the same? Are they increased? Inquiring Smugglers want to know!

Also, could someone get with a Weaponsmith / Armorsmith, have them make a WUK/AUK, and see if those are convertable to the loot?

If they are, then there's another place to get the loot items besides pulling each WUK/AUK out of the crates before the change takes place.

Also, see if a *new* crate of WUKs/AUKs will allow you to pull them and convert...

What???

I sure hope THAT gets fixed! I have over a hundred crates of these damn things left over from when I was slicing!

Does ANYONE have enough storage space to remove them all from crates first? That is insane, I hope it's a simple oversight.

Could be intentional to prevent people from mass producing and stocking thousands of AUKs before the patch which would somehow defeat the purpose of having to loot them. You can convert some singles to get you started...then you're on your own. I kinda like that solution if it's intentional.

Just look at what happened with the CURB...Weaponsmiths had stocked on thousands of pre-patch components because they know they would convert to something better than what they could craft after the CURB. Don't want that to happen again.

can anyone re confirm that current wuk and auk need to be pulled from the crate before this goes live to stop them becoming scrap metal
im all set to rip 2.5k of each out of crates and store them in factory hoppers across 2 to 3 toons but have to be certain
thanks for testing
