I changed my prices to 10k over 3 months ago. I had the people saying it was outrageous... but when all the other smugglers started doing it... no one cares now.

whatever other people said, plus you can role play, as in "You DO know that modifying weapons or armor is forbidden by the Empereor and thus illegal, right? I really don't want to end up on Kessel, y'know... Although... [look around] [whisper] I may be persuaded... if the price is right...".
