I mean, I can't see why the developers are ignoring smugglers. Smugglers do plenty to complain and get their attention, and the profession certainly deserve a fix since it hasn't been touched at all. It's not like they are doing fixes in alphabetical order and we are last (Teras Kasi, Weaponsmith, Tailor, Swordsman, and Squad leader are below us). Why do they play favorites?

Silly rabbit, it's because cooks and beauticians and dancers and musicians are far more important to the smuggler universe than smugglers....

Oh, sorry, that was my special move sarcasm area 2, sometimes I forget I have that macro running...

And, to be truthful, one can't say the smuggler profession hasn't been touched at all, we've been touched many times, just not in a good way and all too often in areas best not described in public. They touched us when they "fixed" autopull on crates. They touched us when they fixed Panic Shot. They touched us when they made spices useless.

Ah, but welcome to our nightmare...and our community of misfits and truehearts for the only people who are still smugglers are the true of heart.

You know, we are lucky, most people don't get touched this much by people in power once they are too old to be a catholic alterboy. Hooray for hot dev man love.

It's funny you should say it that way, because I was discussing the game as it is now vs. the game as it was in the beginning with some guildmates, and although they have been around since the early days, they don't remember some of the things that were either promised but never delivered, or removed before the game even went to beta. It almost seems as though SOE has removed any shade of those early days, back when they promised that they would never add buffs (aside from food and spice), back when everyone was going to end up on the bh terminals, back when jedi only had one death, back when smugglers were going to smuggle, etc. In fact, Looking at the state of the game now, it seems as though our pesky profession is the only thing they have left to get rid of, so they can brainwash everyone into thinking that that other game called starwars galaxies never existed. Every time I look at the blaster on the front of the speederbike, or that ramp down into the water by the Dathomir outpost, it reminds me of checking every five minutes to see what news I could get on a game that was being developed, as a game that seamlessly blended the RPers and the PVPers into one big happy family, with Nightsisters riding into battle on their rancors, and smugglers working to build their REAL Hutt faction...

If you can't complain, lie, cheat, and steal you don't belong in the smuggler profession. HEHE.

I've got a bad feeling about this....

The sad thing is that Smuggler issomething typical for Star Wars and it is being ignored for all the un Star Warsy things. This is supposed to be a Star Wars game, but the developers don't seem to want it to be that, but something completely different...

I am Jack's Smirking Revenge. I am Jack's Ignored Profession.
Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

Ya know what I was thinking about, the SOE folks are a lot like politicians. Pandering to each profession, promising everything they want is coming in the next update or the one after that.

Only they realized a while ago that they don't need to promise us anything anymore since we are such a minority that we don't matter. When was the last time a red name actually appeared in this forum with anything meaningful.

When one finally shows up, I am afraid that we'll lack the heart to really even notice.

It'll be like...

SOE Dev: "OK, Folks, I'm here to talk about your revamp!"

Smuggler Community: "Yeah? We've seen your kind come and go before, it'll happen again."

SOE Dev: "But this time its for real!"

Smuggler Community: "That's what we were told the last several times."

SOE Dev: "All I'm looking for is some ideas...."

Smuggler Community: "We've not had a fresh idea around here in over a year. You should have all the documents you need somewhere around your office, not that you'll use it."

For that to happen it would mean there would be 300 smugglers in the game, and when the revamp comes i'm not sure if Wes won't be alone (Wes or the 6th correspondant coming after him in 2017)

Who said I was referring to 300 individual smugglers????

I'm sure all it will take is 1 Dev and 2 Smugglers to generate that traffic
