And,...does anyone use "biznatches" anymore?
I mean really, biznatch?
Funny, I thought they were called Baz Nitches.

CC-shot was meant to work as mez from CU on. so making it mez and break by dealing damage won't be a NERF, it will be a FIX. Sure, I like the CC shot like it is atm, but I also KNOW that its not working like it is supposed to, and I'm pretty sure that they will fix it some day, like they try to fix all bugs in game. And if that moment is here, ya won t hear me moaning about it, cause we all know that it will be right this way.
Yep. I just signed back up the other day, and I was looking at all the skills to learn what they did.
I read about Concussion Shot breaking when damage is done. The exact text in-game says:
"This ranged attack ability dazes an opponent completely stopping their ability to move or attack for a short period of time. Any damage done to the target during that time will bring them back to their sense and allow them to react again."
When I tried it, and it didn't do this, I thought: "Oh, probably a bug."
People just get used to something working a certain way, and when it's fixed, they cry nerf.
Same thing with spice stacking. They never were meant to stack. They fixed that bug, but people cried out: "NERF! We can't stack spices any more!"

dude get your head out of your arse. IMO aa root is a getaway move. BECAUSE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BREAK ON DMG AFTERWARD!!!!-No, roots are not nessicarily getaway moves, they are just abilities which allow you to temporarily stop an enemy's movement. Great if your opponent doesn't carry ranged weapons, nearly useless if they do. You're thinking of what Concussion Shot is supposed to do, which is mesmerize an enemy, meaning you shut them down temporarily, but the effect breaks on more damage.
root is not something for the I WIN button.-Precisely, its not something for the "I Win" button, because anyone who has two brain cells to rub together will think to bring at least one ranged weapon to use, in case they are a melee fighter, and happen to get routed. i left smuggler because its not working right.-So, you mean to say you left it shortly after the game launched? ROOT is for a get away....something to buy you time for a heal...or a run...or a set up for another shot. not to immobilize for a pounding.-Roots can be used for getaways, not only for getaways. when i realized this i gave up smuggler because i felt that concussionshot(which lasts 40 secs as it sits now) is not fair to use in pvp which i am still learning the ropes to.-You're right, it is kinda wrong to root someone for fourty seconds and them still be able to fire on me. I'd rather have the Mezz so they can't fire on me like that, but I can't fire back unless I'm ready for the mezz to break.
i gave up something i enjoyed to be fair on others.......man if more ppl would think like thins...SWG could be saved.MEH like that would happen.-You mean if more people were to ignore the fact that they can bust out a Master Level rifle, pistol, or carbine and still do damage against thier attackers while being rooted, that this would be a better game?
CONCUSSIONSHOT will benerfedput in line with its description
thats all there is to it because ITS BROKE ANYHOW!!!!!-NO! REALLY?! THANK YOU FOR THE HEADS UP!!
if you dont know this you dont belong being a smuggler
or a pistoller
or anything that has a root-And you don't belong behind a keyboard,
Or steering wheel,
Or anything that requires thought to opperate properly.
damn powergaming crybabies who dont know how to use thier brians for tatics and survival.-Okay, this is the point where you show that you know nothing about actually being a Smuggler. Calling the Smugglers "powergaming crybabies" is not only laughable, its about as far from the truth you can get without leaving the atmosphere. Powergamers... crybabies... you really have no clue what these past two years have been like for Smugglers.
and dont even think about flaming me-I don't need to, you've done a good enough job of making yourself look idiotic, that my posting here is just for my own amusement, and potentially, to get you to actually think before posting.
i am in an active guild war -Here you go.,,,,and have yet to be killed in the raoming i do because i am not predictable. yes i have my hangouts but i never take the same route twice.ask andone in IEF on wanderhome how often im found traveling around.
root=i win at the moment...and i refuse to be an exploiter.-Correction: Root = One guy can't move, but can still blast the hell outta me if he thought ahead and brouht a ranged weapon.
damn powergameing crybabies. GO PLAY A NON_MMO AND BE UBER ALL YOUR OWN CUZ YOU CANT DO IT HERE WWWAAAHHHH-You really are a sad individual... I pity you.
biznatches-Well, not quite, but I almost pity you.
Remember sas-quatch: Ignorance can be educated; but stupid lasts forever.

Mez is much better than Root!!!! Well if you play the game as intended GROUPED. if you think about it Some on that can do nothing with 5 people standing around is in big trouble. I have a few bomb droids sitting around I'd love to drive up to a mezed jedi.......
I have to correct you here. This game is not designed for everyone to play in groups. It's designed so that you can play however you want (grouped, solo, etc..) but it encourages you toplay in groups. This is a common misconception.
Why some people think that soloing is such a bad thing is beyond me.

I solo...all the damn time, I soloed to get to MS, MP, and back when I had it...TKM. Yeah I had my share of deaths, but as soon as they FORCE Grouping like FFXI....well I used to play FFIX way back when...and the forced grouping turned me off of it REALLY fast.
The problem with the root specials right now is that they're dabbleable. On the GCW board there was (amazingly) a really good idea how to fix that. Make only the advanced versions of cuncussion shot and whatever pistoleers get work as-is while the basic and improved versions break on damage.
If you take a straight-up smuggler and put him against a straight up TKM, the TKM will win every time 'cuz you can't really damage him (unless your LastDitch sticks and then you both die). The problem comes when you have a Rifleman with one line of Smuggler or Pistoleer. But as long as the game encourages mastery and discourages dabbling, balance isn't an issue.
Even without any changes a smart TKM shouldn't have too much trouble. Carry the emergency laser rifle. When you're rooted, you're blasting away at us. When you're not rooted, your CoB macro keeps you from getting damaged.
Balance doesn't mean that every profession has a 1:1 corrolation against each other profession. Balance is more like Rock Paper Scissors. Sure, the rock smashes scissors, but the scissors can cut the paper. We all have our combat niches. Smuggler might be able to keep you rooted, but it can'ttouchyour TKM's CoB tanking macro. TKM may be a super tanker, but it can't dish the damage like a rifleman. Rifleman may be able to dish damage from a distance, but if you get all-up-ons, he's screwed.
