Thread: Hey Tiggs, Why not !?!

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fanboi, but this isn't Tiggs' fault. She's posted more in this forum over the last few days than we've seen a dev do in weeks, so that's a plus in my book. If she comes back here and starts actually communicating (as we define it, you know, the whole two way thing the names in red don't go formost of the time), then the plus gets turned into a smiley face; if she keeps it up, a gold star's in order, aswell as possibley (dare I say the T word?) my trust (what can I say, I'm a sucker for punishment, rejection and let downs, I'm a pistoleer/smuggler after all
).
I agree with this completely. As much as I try, I haven't been able to find a reason to hate on Tiggs yet. Sure, the old problems of the dev team are still there and not likely to change, but she does seem to be communicating a little. Fluff for now, but she had to start somewhere. ![]()

Amen. Can we call the slicing gods down on them with inferno and wraith and fury!?
Er, you have MET the slicing gods haven't you? If we ask them to visit hellfire and damnation on the devs they'll probably put on pinafores, tidy the devs conference room and make them all up a nice, comfy bed with a mint on the pillow. Now that would be the slicing gods *I* know.
I can't figure out if this is worse than the spice change or not...
The spice change wasn't in the patch notes, it's not been fixed, and we have no reason for it.
The crate change was in the patch notes, we were told it wasn't going live, it did, it's not been fixed, and we have no reason for it.
Guess they're both just as bad, especially to a profession that's had nothing but the beat-down on it since the beginning.
Hey! Maybe the crate change was to get our attention off of the spice change. IT DIDN'T WORK! I still want to know why the spice was changed.

Frankly, I think the Stealth Spice Downer Nerf was worse thanthis autopull issue (at least we have official acknowledgement on autopull):
1. It was never discussed with us before it went live
2. It wasnot in the release notes
3. The "change" to the spice downer was drastic and was the final blow that rendered one of the two ways a neutral smuggler could make a living (besides missioning) useless
4. Despite countless politely worded requests for clarification as to whether this was a bug or whether it was now "working as intended" were completely ignored by SOE.
5. Finally, our correspondent was told the answer, and at the same time was told he could not tell us --the very people this change affected.
6. It has been six months since this happened and we still do not have an answer. There has not even been an official acknowledgement that this change occurred.
This makesno sense to me. At all. I've made my living as a software applications project manager and as a development manager. Deliberately withholding information about changes made to the software that directly affect a user's experience in such a huge way -- sure, this is a virtual world and it is a game -- but what the hell kind of sense does that make?
SOE's handling of this has been senseless and disrespectful.
I've asked politely, all of us have, for six months. Now I guess I will just cut to the chase.
How about showing us a little respect, SOE, by answering our questions regarding the Stealth Spice Downer Nerf?

I'll reiterate though; not your personal fault Tiggs but you get to deliver the nasty gram for us.

Thanks Tiggs...
But Thunderheart specifically stated that every effort would be made to prevent this from going live. (Not in those words, but that's basically what he said)...
So...since you can't give us a timeframe on the fix now, perhaps you can answer another question...
Howwas every effort being made to prevent this from going live if nobody was ever assigned to fix it?
