Start charging. Tell him you need something for your time, effort, and tools. Perhaps charge him less than normal, but get something for it. That little something is better than no nothing... =)

Goodness where to begin...
Customers is number 1...here's why
"Hey 5 hammers here...dmg plz" *whats the 4th entry on page 1643 of your dictionary? oh RANDOM? yeah read that...*
"i have a comp suit..how's 20k?" *how's 50k or leave sound? i make the rules.*
"are you slicing? great i'm coming" player arrives and i slice "oh man...u serious? i gotta pay?" *moron...i'm keeping ur lance*
"can you repair my armor?" *uhhhh...sure...10k per piece...i break it still pay*
"i have a sword i need sliced for disease" *yeah...i have a pistol i need to point at your head...*
lots more but its getting late haha

What is up with those people? I don't get it, I have had more people the last week or so want me to repair their equipment...

Oh, dear God it's the cheap customers...

You don't like my prices, stuff off and keep your weapon/armour just the way it is...
Mr 'Hey how about a discount as it's a full set of armour'.
Hey, how about I get an increase in price because I can slice percentages higher than your IQ...

It's called a MMORPG. Excuse me for playing this as a game and not some sort of 'who can do everything the fastest' competition.
And also the fact that there's still a part of me that feels crappy when I get a sucky slice, even though I know there's nothing I can do about it...

There is no logical reason a smuggler would give up his surprises and special equipment(sliced stuff) by sharing them with everyone for a few lousy bucks.

Weaponsmiths who think they're doing you a favor when they offer you a crapload of weapons to slice (right now,) at half your asking price, becuase everyone should offer "bulk discounts."

....People that ask to have anything *spliced* = Immediately added to my /ignore list.
....Wondering why I was getting dozens of tells "....sup d00d, cna u repair my stuff?" and realizing 4 days later that my tag still said "Fixer"...
....slicing my own Krayt T21s for Speed...always speed..DAMMIT!
....The one guy that asked me last Dec if I could slice his ATST....no joke.

I had a great nate last night on tat and one of the reason I'm stil master smuggler and I will stay master smuggler.
went to mos esp to start collecting a few badges etc
met a noob smuggler at the kyrat skeleton and I gave all the advice i could remember, that was cool I felt like a tru master passing on advice etc
then got to lars homested and ran from the masses of spawns in that area (no buffs and already died once being over confident)
shuttled to Mos eisley and met another noob smuggler again wit the advice and was added to another friends list woo.
did a few slices nothing major.
got a tell from an existing client and sliced a couple of weapons for him
then the best bit comes, I'm waiting for ship back to naboo and I get a tell asking if I'm slicing etc, I'm pretty laid back and have a pack full of slicing tools so of course I say yeah sure.
I confirm my price of 8k per item and slice 5 items for him some armour and a couple of weapons.
then the shuttle comes whilst I'm still slicing but as they come once every 5 mins I'm not too bothered about being quick.
so I finish up and trade everything back
next thign I know he'[s asking to trade again
and another 5 items I'm please at the thought of all that cash so I slice the next 5
this happens antoehr two times
that's a total of 10 + items (he trades 6 - 8 items after first two)
whilst I'm slicing his gear I get another tell asking if I'm slicing?
anyway long story short I finally land back in theed after two missed ships and 150k + richer
now I don't call that a bad thing at all.
I know smugglers pretty borked in almost every aspect but slciing still makes it my fav master proff.
