Well, my friend gave me 12 locked containers... most had nothing... the two that were good were the +1 med exp. tape and the +1 food exp. tape like I said.
I hate to say it, but i think he looted them all from nightsisters, although i don't believe what u loot them from has any influence over what you get inside... I could be wrong tho

I found a couple of gunman's dusters which were nice to find (really make my smuggler look wicked cool). I found a +3 ranged aiming sea, a +1 rescue AA, and that's pretty much it for useful stuff. One of the most frustrating feelings in the world is to get a treasure map, dig up the treasure only to find a bunch of worthless junk. Maybe it has sentimental value or something to the owner, but I'm a smuggler and wouldn't mind finding something worth a few hundred or few thousand credits.

I'm fond of a container in a container in a container, one with a crystal, one with armor attachment (only a +1), and then cdefs scattered throughout.

It would be funny if the devs didn't think that was funny and penalized you somehow. But then again, your a smuggler, your a lying, cheating, stealing fiend. It's in your nature.

As a Master I usually refuse to open Locked Containers, but I always open the ones I looted myself and I onc got a CA with +7 polearm speed, sold it for 2 Mio.

Found a light-green crystal inside a treasure chest once. Best loot from containers: Neat clothing and some CA's. The only reason why I keep smuggler is because I want to slice the weapons I buy,and the containers I loot...

this is actually very funny,i got a loked container from the loked container fornt he loked container front the loked container so that makes like 3 containers inside the original.
i was about to quit slicing and type /destroy when OMG i find a +16 intimidate atachment heheheh good for me yay

Anyway.
In one container I found a dark blue Twin Force Crystal Cluster and a Melee Damage clothing SEA.
I lucked out, big time. So, I gave the crystal to a friend who could use it, and put the SEA on my +18 Bleed Defence shirt.

if they are polite to me i wont screw em, but piss me off like a jackass i will take stuff (and charge extra for slices).. hey, if they dont ask for a price beforehand, i dont got to tell them.. and the asses never ask first

Best thing I've seen is a Force crystal (my IRL husband got that).
He would say the best thing would be the sand colored hot pants he found and gave to me... (*sigh Jaraak...)
