First off, let me thank my fellow smugglers for coming to my defense in the case of this Miriam cat. Perhaps my vent is a little off the chart, but after so much hype and heartbreak over the past few years, it can become very frustrating...and I thank the brotherhood for allowing me to vent.

Second, to Miriam...thank you for the kind insight, and the insult, it shows a great deal of maturity on your part. I noticed that your forum date is roughly Jan of this year, am I correct? How long have you been a part of this community?

I am not an "undisciplined kid", I am a paying customer upset with the business practices of SOE. In my dealings with companies, most that have offered this level of duality and inconsistency would have been run out of town long ago.

I've been a Smuggler since two months after launch, and I have experienced every up and down this wonderful community has dealt with in that time. The level of frustration I feel over broken promises and mismanaged goals has increased ten fold since the beginning. To me, this is just another failed attempt by SOE, a glaring misstep on their part, but a step that makes me question whether SOE really has an idea of what the player base wants, and what is best for this game. I trusted in my sandbox team, I know they were the best for the job, and I was looking forward to their insights on the CU while going through testing.

The decision to go to open beta was well met, and the entire player base was excited with the possibility of tetsting the CU. SOE hyped this on the boards for most of this week, preparing every one for the prospect of logging on and testing the product. Can you tell me that the Devs had NO idea the login would be so great, and that one server could not facilitate the amount of players who wished to participate? If this is the fact, then the dev team is more out of touch than we believed. If they were so delusional to think that after so much input, one server would be sufficient, then I have lost faith once again in SOE. On the flip side, if they KNEW they were going to cap the server, and yet made no attempt to inform the player base that this would be the case, and login issues would be paramount once TC went up, then this is deliberate on the part of the devs, and the community team, and that upsets me even more.

I am conflicted over what to do, to stay or go? I look forward to our upgrade, and the CU/Expansion, but I don't know how much of SOE's poor management I can withstand.

Much thanks to the community, and much thanks to Miriam, words speak volumes and your post spoke so very much.
