Ponda Baba, ugly dude with cool orange jacket (not a smuggler but an all round naughty chap)

The young (pre Marlon Brando) Don Vito Corleone, of course.

I was inspired to be a smuggler by the little Pixie that always stays on my shoulder. He is with me day or night, telling me what to do and say. Sometimes he tells me to do bad things, but I do them anyway. He would never steer me wrong.

My smuggler inspiration has become my smuggler toon...Ochre. She gets herself out of the best scrapes, its hilarious. Mostly using /feigndeath and on occasion /burstrun .
She's a Master Fencer/Master Smuggler and I was soloing nightsisters in Forced Labor camp and they overwhelmed me so I feigned death and healed had /burstrun typed in for when I stood up, so I stood up, /burstrun out of the caves, with all the nightsisters following me, and I was hitting my /healself button as I ran. I got to a spot where I could conceivably call my speeder IF they left me alone...so I feigned death again and waited...laughing hysterically the whole time and finally the nightsisters got annoyed and retreated back to their caves. I called my swoop and decided that I'd annoyed the nightsisters quite enough for one night and left in a hurry.
Another classic example was before I'd picked up Fencer, I was Master Smuggler/Master Dancer and I was on Dathomir when a nightsister rancor tamer knocked me off my swoop and blew it up. Eyeing the rancor and nightsister and looking at the FWG5 I held, I decided the odds were not in my favor, so I feigned death and tried to figure out how I'd call another swoop while aggro'd. Fascinatingly enough, a baz snitch decided it didn't like the rancor much either and attacked it, so I observed this battle from my rather dubious postion on the ground, muttering cheers for the baz snitch under my breath. Of course it occurred to me that the rancor tamer wouldn't take the loss of her pet terribly well, so upon standing I /burstrun towards the Science Outpost. I got far enough away that I was able to call a speederbike I had and I rode into the outpost, swearing I'd never complain about a bad slice again if only the slicing gods would watch over me like thatin the future.
I now ask my customers to refrain from telling me what results they want for a slice so as not to jinx it. If they get the slice they want good for both of us, they'll come back to me and they're happy. If they don't, good for me, I got paid.

Sonny Crocket and Tubbs. Sure, they were the cops, but they showed important lessons on how to avoid getting busted. Most important lessons: Wear pastel colors and don't have Phil Collins playing in the background.

No main inspiration, but Frank Martin (The Transporter) is very cool. I'd say he's the best example of a Triple Master you can get.

I love that movie just for the fact that he's so cool doing what he does. Aside from him I'd say Booster Terrik and Tallon Karrde as well.

My single biggest inpiration for Dash would have to be James Bond, eventhough Bonddoesn't often smuggle (not that we smuggle yet either, but you know what I mean
). Deadly with a pistol, capable (at least) with his fists, but just as likely to win a fight by trickery. Well dressed, well spoken, appearing gentlemanly all round, but hard as nails under the surface.

My inspiration is Han Solo, Dash Rendar, Lando Calrissian, Talon Karrde, Booster Terik in that order.
From outside of Star Wars, gotta go with Clark Gable'sRhett Butleras a goodSmuggler. (As much as I recall that he was locked up for smuggling weapons to the Confederate Army right? Could be wrong though...)

Han Solo and Talon Karrde (for entirely different reasons
) and, believe it or not, Marcus Cole from Babylon 5...
