Really want to get the DEV's attention(and very likely tick them off)? Just forward this post to the guy over at IGN who conducted the interview with Hayden Blackman...

Well I sent IGN a link.
I think it was a GameInformer inetreview however. I suppose, if some folks wanted to send this to the GameInformer interviewers who failed to ask the follow upquestions demanded by this post (and anyone who follows this game at all) ... Theoretically they could copy and paste it into an email to the two interviewers ... whose names are on the last page of the interview...and whose email addresses are in the contact us page. /whistles innocently

LOL, for anyone who wanted this stickied, that';s just not gonna happen. Hell, I don't want this stikied. I made this cause I was outraged about the blatent lies and idiocy demonstrated in Blackmen's interview. Serious props to that reporter though. I have sent the link to this thread to several major computer game magazines. This kind of treatment needs to be brought to light.

Ah, Fishbrains, as usual, an excellent post.
I have grown so disheartened of late that I rarely post (not that I posted all that much anyway). But I read the boards daily, and I remember your posts from the Fan Fest very well. You approached the development team directly, articulately and with a wonderful sense of humor (the T-shirts! LOL) and you have maintained such a positive outlook throughout these discouraging times.
But, oh... The thing thatgets me EVEN MORE than the announced postponement of all the promised fixes (GCW, CB, etc.) and our much ballyhooed and many-times pushed back Smuggler revamp, more even than Mr. Blackman's insensitive and out-of-touch interviews, is your new sig, which appeared not too long ago:
I cannot tell you how much this gets to me, every time I see it. It's just... so d4mn sad. It expresses the utter disillusionment that so many of us feel, and coming from you, well...
God D4mn the decion-makers whohave disappointed you (all of us!) so. You trusted, you had faith. Don't d4mn yourself for those qualities.

If the devs are working on JTLS and Jedi as selling points, they're obviously trying to sell WoW, EQ2, or Matrix Online.....

If this interview is true, (Every last part of that is true and is based on linkable developer posts over time)the devs obviously have no integrity (I think they do, but there are certainly some issues that have tobe resolved)and isn't that one of the principles of this game? (Integrity... not sure, but it's good customer relations)Something else that I've been pondering is whyrevamping theSmuggler profession has become such an issue. (look at the promises and the time line first, then realize the following. Take away dancing from dancers, pistols from pistoleers, the force from Jedi and you will have an idea of what our problem is since beta. Smugglers do not smuggle, at all.)It almost seems like it's pride stopping the developement. (Stopping development? No, our goal is to facilitate development and to encourage honesty with the customer base in regards to our revamp.)

I think that Madam meant (without wanting to put words into anyone's mouth) that the pride was that of the developers.

Caylin... you made the right call. While I wholeheartedly support the sentiment of this thread, it should not be stickied.
I have nowcome to see our revamp questas a public debatewith the devs, where we, the smuggler community, are supporting the "we deserve a revamp" side and the devs are arguing "other more important things first".
Since utlitmately the devs hold all the power, we can not win the debate tactically, but we can win the hearts of the SWG player baseand hopefully gain widespread support and respect for our forum, our profession, and our cause. By stating the facts, as the original poster did, we honorably defend our cause. But I think stickying this thread is a step backward for our cause...
Thanks for keeping a steady hand on the wheel.....

By no means am I taking the side of the Devs on this. I really do feel that they are failing in their responsablities and obligations to us as players and to you as a Smuggler. I do honestly believe that the interview happened and happened in those word, but I said "if" because I have not read the artical and do not know the circumstances that surround it. I'm sorry for not being more clear on this.

Then I apologize for not taking it as it was meant
Maybe it will forestall comments though that might have gone that approach though, so all is not lost

Actually, I wasn't requesting this to be publicly "stickied". I just reposted to sticky it for personal use.
I am upset at another setback, but there is nothing I can do but post my concerns. I realize that SOE is trying to sell a product and that JtL and Jedi are big selling points. What I don't understand are the sense of priorities. Chef was a pointless novelty before its revamp, a revamp that really put us out of the spice business. But for a profession that an integral part of the Star Wars universe...promises made just to keep us quiet...promises broken for other things. Hmm, maybe SOE doesn't want to promote the criminal underworld types.
JtL better be the best damn flight sim I've ever played (and I've played all the space ones) or this game doesn't matter to me anymore. I've invested a lot of time into this game (since beta 2) and now its getting to the point that playing is just weariness. I've made a lot of good friends and thats about that only reason that keeps me in right now.
