I don't think it even comes close to it being about training. Worf is at a unbelievably huge disadvantage if he doesn't have his ceremonial blade with him in combat. Of course he won't back down, but even he will know it's suicide. It's not contest that Chewbacca would win.

On the note of hair, which would you rather date? A hot, young woman whose body was covered in hair or a 80 year old woman with no hair on her body?
I'd have to go with the hairy young woman.

The older the violin, the sweeter the music.
The hairy-er the violin, the harder it is to play music on

I pretty much remember Worf getting smacked around alot in TNG. Even if that were not so, I'd still have to (easily) give it to the wookiee. He's got strength and reach on Worf. While Work may have some training, it's definately not anywhere close to even Tera Kasi Apprentice level. He might get in a good shot or two, but once Chewie gets his hands on him...he's burger.
Same goes for in a bout where they each get to bring their iconic wapons. Work with his curved sword thingie would be merely a smoking corpse after a round from the bowcaster.
Worf is trained in the Klingon Martial Art of Mok’bara. Chewbacca rips peoples arms out of their sockets (according to Han Solo).
