Wll I dont like the system becasue its moronic. I hate the RE system your telling me items i recover from a ship that BLEW UP are going to be better then things made with the best materials available ?

Thats insane I killed the ship in question why is his gear better then mine if one he lost and two it was on board a ship that is now in 1000s of pieces?

So battle damaged stuff is better then things made with the best materials the Empire can find? I hate loot based crafting and hate loot based slicing it makes no sence.

you have to work within the box with the Devs. There's no room for outside the box suggestions. If you hate the ALL the loot based systems, then you're probably going to be out of luck.

Um, hm, okay, Kashyyk. sure. Been to the DWB? Not a whole lot of AFK looting going on there as far as I know. Doubt there's a whole lot going on up on the Avatar either... but then I haven't even been able to get through the access quest for that...

Not a chance.... We got nuked just about the time we walked in the door (at the station)and it barely slowed down. CL81-84 Elites pounding on you from first entrance. Full group of 8 with me taking my MCM/MP 4/0/0/0 doc with a SL/CM utilizing taunting from tanks and a couple BH's and we still got owned. Fatal flaw of not hiding behind a MDef.

THANK YOU!

I really hope our own community doesn't get this nerfed.

What people aren't understanding is that this system makes slicing RISKY, and NOT NORMAL.

This is the only "risk" that I can see...

I am not real keen on the idea of loot drops....they are going to flood the trade boards and AFK selllers at Starports selling these thing for millions. The large combat/Jedi guilds are going to make a fortune off this idea.

I think we are all reacting without the facts. Lets wait and see what the %s are for the looted item slices, and make our decision from there.

Its a very cool idea (loot for high endslices) - but it may not be worth the rewards... until we know what the rewards are.

I don't think "we are all reacting without the facts." Some of us have played games with systems like this in place, and are speaking from experience (whether for or against).

Personally, I returned to SWG (from WoW) because I have a chance to compete without being a powergamer with the best loot.

% increases from slices has no bearing on my opinion of this system.

You cannot speak from experience when this has never been inserted into this dynamic before.

Armorsmiths nd WEaponsmiths have bee using looted components since forever and they have only made those weapons/armor more desireable to the buyers. They increase the quality of the item - and now they are increasing the quality of the slice.

So from an "experienced" Armorsmith's point of view - the looted slicing components will just make things more valuable. Without taking into consideration of the %s.

And if you think Peko-Peko feathers or GDK Scales are easy to get loots - well they arent. And all they do is make the armor better - the same will happen for slicing.

I don't see why people can't get their heads around that.

Make it so that only Master Smugglers can loot this stuff and tone down the DWB and Avatar Platform, and I'm all for it.

Make it so that I can walk in there and be able to stand a chance of survival if I am really, really careful.

And why Master Smugglers? Because if Novice Smuggler is the only requirement, I can see loot whores picking it up just so they can charge us out the ass for this stuff.

Me neither. I think someone reported me...that's the only way I could have gotten it deleted.

/shrug

Maybe a Jedi reported me because I compared us to them.

Yeah, I switched from Internet Exploder to Firefox, and I can't use the Graphical Post Editor.

I know how to use the HTML to make my font pink, but I'm too annoyed to do it
