Then all they need to do is not make promises they can't keep. Had they said from the get-go that only the last kit in a crate could be salvaged, we'd deal with it - and throw out all the others. But when they say that their changes are supposed to work thusly, and they don't... then people are justifiably annoyed and skeptical.
You'll pardon me if I don't take the Devs on faith anymore - these are the people who promised the Smuggler revamp in August of 2003, after all...
I am thinking I might take advantage of this and run out and buy several crates of WUKS and AUKS.

Uh, this wasnt a screw up. This was intended. The changes to concussion and slicing have corrected smuggler not "nerfed" it. The only buggy part is the crate issue. Regarding that, give it a rest already! Bugs happen and will happen again. You cant avoid them every time. So try donning a little more tolerance, and spare us the miserable whining... SOE doesnt listen to it and I for one am tired of hearing people barking at the moon.
So, what you are saying is that the smuggler concussion blast / root should only last 2 seconds? Ummm, that is a lame excuse for a skill, since smuggler is now supposed too be crowd control. And, before you say it last longer, I use concussion blast and it flashes 1 time in the tagers effect window and the mob is at full spped again like no one ever touched it. 1-2 seconds time effect down from 30 seconds, I think that is a little rash
When you damage the target, you are breaking the root. It's a pretty common MMO principle.
The trick is to use concussion shot to root a mob while you work on another mob. If you want to be really sure to delay him, lay an Underhand or Panic Shot on him first.
