Then I read the part about having one attached to me against my will. Now that wouldn't upset me so much if they weren't trying to say that I get another "real" arm reattached instead of just saying that I get a better or more realistic looking arm/pair of legs attached.

First of all I must say that I do not use the insurance terminals at the cloners. I see no need to because if insure my items or not they always seem decay when I die (PvE or PvP). Why bother tossing hard earned credits into the insurance cr sink/scam.

On TC3 (Ahazi) one of my Ahazi toons is a Female Twi'lek TKM/Master Ent/Master Dancer (from Ahazi)

anyhow, I was on Dant (which is where my house is), when I loged on,I decided to travel to the MO (about 1500m away)to go to Theed. Igot triple in-capped and DB'd on the way there (to the MO).

Well to make a long story short, Icloned with a pair of thoes fugly tin legs. And it looks like it is a permanant thing (on TC3).

To see if maybe insuring and cloning would remove my cybernetic legs, I jad a Jedi strike me down and DB me. Well it didn't work.

You don't want to know how freaking ridiculous a Female Twi'let Dancer with metal legs andwaistlooks while dancing, not to mention the fact that I could not wear anything that goes on my legs (pants, shorts, skirts, shoes, boots). =(

Yuck!! Yuck yuck yuck!!

My main character is a Twi'lek Master Dancer! /cry!!!

I may be nitpicking here, but I'd like to point out that they call it a "Cloning" Center, yet our clones come out with full stomachs, woundsand now missing limbs.

They should rename "Cloning Centers" to the Meat grinder!

Some of the Npc trainers have cybernetics that dont look so bad... I think there is a pilot trainer in the MO cantina that has like a robotic hand or sumthin.

why cant we have stuff like that?

To get rid of the bad limbs I think you need to talk to a doctor in th second story of a big hospital, liek the one in Corellia or Theed. I think it'd look pretty funny to dance with cybernetic legs, rofl.

That's one thing I did do, was goto C-net and Theed. and there was no one on theupper floors (possibily because ROTW has not been released.

Well they needed to do something. For the longest time the devshas been playing the "everybody's a winner" approach. Sometimes I die just to save time. Ok nobody wants permadeath but this lose a limb penalty is kinda cool. They should have lose an eye too. You should walk funny if you get a bad leg. There should be enviromental damage from sandstorms, dehydration and heatstroke where you become dizzy from walking in desert with out a hat or for to long with out entering water. You should get burns when on a volcano. SWG should be fullofdanger. If you say hey i'm gonna head out into the dune sea by myself to do some hunting people should say "your crazy." Or, I'll be waiting by the cloning center with an eye patch and a robotic arm when you show up."

I do believe they had originally planned to have environemental damage from things like the acid lakes and lava on Lok. I was just talking today about how it would be cool to have face coverings, like a scarf, or bandana, for dust storms, and something for rain, like those neon-lit umbrellas in blade runner lol.

Basically, if you want to know why SWG is not the most popular mmo ever, find my post that includes a link to archived SWG pages from pre-live days, to see the original concept of Galaxies, the features and content that got all the people wanting to play, the stuff the Devs don't like to talk about. Hell, I'm not sure some of them even remember those days.

Like I always say, if anything in the game seems unfinished, or that something could have been more rich or robust, environment, npc, or systems, It IS unfinished, and WAS going to be more robusts and deep and complex.

PVP? bastardized jerry-rigged verion of the original concept. Missions? Bastardized Jerry-rigged version of the orginal concept. BH? Bastardized Jerry-rigged version of the original? Smuggler? same.

Most of the original game is just a bastardized jerry-rigged version of the original concept. Nightsisters rode Rancors, Vader went after you if the BH's failed, Jedi suffered PERMADEATH, smugglers smuggled, bounty hunters hunted ALL players, the outcast system would aim to prevent griefing yet make things realistic by making the threat of a fight a constant possibility.

Sorry, always get ranty when people bring up game mechanics that never made it into the game Especially at this juncture.

I miss those days. The game had such promise and the imagination of the team was great. Even when they launched with a lot of stuff missing, they really sounded like they wanted to put it in as soon as they could.

Now it's as if their imagination has been wiped and their memory is even worse. Not trying to bash them here, honestly I'm not, but the conflict and cooperation between players and devs these days is nothing compared to what it was in the pre beta days. The attitude was entirely different and the vision was pure.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Tell me about it. And am I the only one that finds the cities in SWG similar to the movie cut out towns in 60's westerns. Cornet should have mad clubs and all kinds of population trafic not 14 people standing in line to be buffed. I say they nerf doctor droids in cities. Make em go to the hospital for buffs. Cause right now they might as well nerf the hospitals.
