On the other hand...when I've seen everything and done everything I might let Dayasi get WTFPWNED on an adventure planet and have a crappy one installed so he can be the crotchety old guy with the fake limb.

After reading the friday feature, I must say that I would never willingly get one of those horrid looking things attached to me...

Then I read the part about having one attached to me against my will. Now that wouldn't upset me so much if they weren't trying to say that I get another "real" arm reattached instead of just saying that I get a better or more realistic looking arm/pair of legs attached.

First of all I must say that I do not use the insurance terminals at the cloners. I see no need to because if insure my items or not they always seem decay when I die (PvE or PvP). Why bother tossing hard earned credits into the insurance cr sink/scam.

On TC3 (Ahazi) one of my Ahazi toons is a Female Twi'lek TKM/Master Ent/Master Dancer (from Ahazi)

anyhow, I was on Dant (which is where my house is), when I loged on,I decided to travel to the MO (about 1500m away)to go to Theed. Igot triple in-capped and DB'd on the way there (to the MO).

Well to make a long story short, Icloned with a pair of thoes fugly tin legs. And it looks like it is a permanant thing (on TC3).

To see if maybe insuring and cloning would remove my cybernetic legs, I jad a Jedi strike me down and DB me. Well it didn't work.

You don't want to know how freaking ridiculous a Female Twi'let Dancer with metal legs andwaistlooks while dancing, not to mention the fact that I could not wear anything that goes on my legs (pants, shorts, skirts, shoes, boots). =(

FIRST off, jesus, people need to chill out about the cybernetic stuff. first of all, if you've been on TC once this past month you've seen one. Hell, one of our very own TLB guys was walkin around with the legs. and DAMMMMMMMMMMMN was he fast. like, really fast. jedi fast.

Second, it won't really affect pvp, with the exception of the legs, but thats only if the person plans on running away a lot. seriously, i mean dammit, there's bigger issues, like the fact that the Deathhammer comes out of the factory with a base damage of STUN, which doesn't exist any more. I tested it, the gun does ZERO damage with any special. States don't even apply.

To get rid of the bad limbs I think you need to talk to a doctor in th second story of a big hospital, liek the one in Corellia or Theed. I think it'd look pretty funny to dance with cybernetic legs, rofl.

To answer the question in the title, no. I never wanted them. They look horrible. The fact that I just might get one of those put on me when I die is going to be a major pain in the tuches. Get rid of that crap.

I think the worst part is that this is one of the key features they are using to try and sell the new expansion. If this is the best ideas thay can come up with, after all this time.... well... this game looks to be in worse shap then I thought.

Nopes, it's got a skills-modified dps of about 260, but every shot hits for 0, Grax made it, and I tested it on him BASE, not elemental damage lol.

The way they made the torso of the player look was one of the worst parts about it... Two arms were even worse... and the legs!... I won't even get into how the legs looked lol...
Speaking of the legs... It's obvious there's no such thing as a cybernetic crotch!

Read Dallet... my droids have rotating-turret nether regions for broad applications. *cough* Nevermind.

I dig the ugly cybernetics. Reminds me of the Soviet borgware from Cyberpunk. It's not supposed to look cool, it's supposed to look like a 'tarded replica. I hope. The chromed classy stuff will probably be another expansion.
I just hope the 'bonus' attacks don't suck. I'd like my trando jedi to have a metal arm, since I can't wear armor anyway, but it'd be nice to actually get some use out of it.

On a side note, I hope everyone notices another subtle reason for a) cybernetics and b) faceplated armor.
It'll reduce the volume of information needed to be communicated between client and server. Faceplated armor means that everyone's face renders just about the same way, from one of a small finite set of possibilities. Arms and legs will go the same way.

The legs look hideous though, yeah.

Last I heard the legs are 40% faster than normal legs, with their own built in burst run to boot. I've seen em in action, they are indeed fast, and the user looks more ridiculous than event he friday feature can demonstrate, since they kind of have a bouncy robot run to them, and the torso is just seated atop the bottom half of a battle droid. The arms don't look quite as ridiculous, they do look kind of out of place, but did you expect a terminator arm to look IN place?

These do seem to be prequel imbs though. As pointed out, Luke's hand was pretty natural looking, i'd say these are more like anakins crazy skeleton hand.

It DOES suck we can't wear clothes over them. Armor I can understand, but clothes, that's dumb.

Yeah the 'temporary' thing is odd. I think it would be far more interesting to make it permanent...except for the dying and not having cloned part.

I may be nitpicking here, but I'd like to point out that they call it a "Cloning" Center, yet our clones come out with full stomachs, woundsand now missing limbs. I know it's going to be relatively easy to insure so we don't get a cybernetic limb, but if they were permanent and by some chance Iforgot to insure myselfand got one of those putrid things attached to my character, I'd quit that instant.
