Well...bright side for me is I'm about as far away from SWG as I can get on this planet so I won't be tempted to login and suffer patch day woes!

Ternque; "Is the food good? "

Food is great!

Breathing isn't much fun though.

This time of the year things are blooming, it's dry with tons of dust in the air, smog, going to hit mid 90s this week and the drying 'fertilizer' is blowing off the fields...and I think I've inhaled one whole pack of second-hand smoke each day I've been here.

Other than that a very good, yet short, trip.

You guys really going live this week? It's a joke right? I mean I wasn't all that thrilled with the CU as it was implimented but even the ones that loved it can't possibly think this is wise...right...Hotdog?

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Two years of "Soon"(TM), a harsh bunch of lies.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie"

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Dancers can't smuggle and neither can I.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Who here is REALLY surprised about this? Anyone?

I could really care less for the reasons behind pushing this out so soon. A great many don't want it and we knew it was being rushed from the get-go. Now it's being rushed that much more.

I honestly wanted to give this game a chance, but...wow!

Well, I expected it. I like the CU but think it could use a few more MONTHS of actual work before it goes live. Oh well, everyone knows it isn't up to snuff and wouldn't be up to snuff by the time they were suppose to put it out. Whats one week early going to matter?

What matters is that for the indefinite future, Smuggler no longers has Low-Blow or a useable Last-Ditch. What matters is that minimal testing was done on a process that's going to "convert" all of your existing gear. What matters, is that SOE is replacing one kludge with another. After a year promising that they were going "to do things right" this time.

V E E L A "her royal hawtness"
I am Jack's Smirking Revenge. I am Jack's Ignored Profession.
Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

I feel the Freelance Pilot grind calling... I'll be safe up there while our specials are fixed, right?

As long as you take out all the ship components before the big patch.

*Slap* Get a hold of yourself man! Don't be getting emotional on me. You should know that promises are empty. You should know by now, the promises from the SOE pirates is a soft kiss, not a hard truth. Now batten down the hatches and lower the sails or get on the life boat with the others.

*Turns and faces the direction the ship is headed and stands tall as the iceberg looms ahead.*

I'd be more inclined to grab a line and lend a hand if I wasn't just informed that as we speak, all our ships (ok, MY ships) are being molested by some untested conversion miningscript!!

I'm not saying that this is the end of the world. We've been living through Ragnarok since release. But despite all grand promises to the contrary, apparently this is not going to change.
