There doesn't seem to be much in there for Master Smugglers since this will replace the way that slicing and spice experience is gained.
Also, it would be nice to be able to slice ship parts once and for all. I didn't see any indication of that. It's nice how they pay lip service to Han Solo and then give some mini-game on slicing weapons and nothing to modify the ship.
Read again, near the beginning of her post.
I did.. nothing about slicing ship parts. Only weapons and gear, and I take gear to mean armor and other ground-based equipment.
Copied and pasted from Tigg's post:
The goal of the slicing enhancement will be to give smugglers more control over the results of their slices, as well as improve the gameplay element of slicing. Finally, smugglers will be giving some slicing options that can be used inside POB ships.
yep- looks like theremight bemore info to come in the next few weeks

can you fix my weapon its broken
can you fix my weapon its broken.....
You give them too much credit for language.. it would be more like:
can u plz fix my weapon
can u plz slice my armor
can u plz tun my weapon

Under the scope of the CURB, I would assume.
Oh and as pointed out in yimaz's thread about what would be replacing the Spice tree, it is obvious thoses documents are not ALL of it.

What, exactly, are you expecting?
People complain about crafting spices so that is leaving.
People complain about not being able to control the slices, so they're changing that.
People complain about not having smuggling missions, so they're looking at adding missions.
We went from demanding information about a smuggler revamp and we now have information about a smuggler revamp.
What are you complaining about?? What is it you want? Do you just live to whine?
Sure, we all want to see this go into live and I'm guessing that we're sceptical enough to take this with a few grains of salt, but it look like they at least put the effort into showing this community that they've at least heard our requests to some extent.
Stop freaking crying! If this isn't what you want to see from a smuggler revamp, what the hell are you expecting????

QFE
I can't agree with you more here. These changes are wonderful for about 99% of our community. And the lack of PC bounties is fine as long as it's only temporary. Let them fix the system before adding us into it. There are fight-clubs for easy jedi FRS now, let them fix the system to keep a fight-club for Spice from happening.
These 2 docs are the best thing I've seen since I started

?? ah yes i live to whine ...thank you now move along
I'm asking the simple questions that the devs never ask themselve prior to changing things.
No spice crafting? good where do my skill points go...oh did you not notice that there was conspicuously no mention of what we would be doing with that whole line? Is it going to be ground out with more pistol xps? and maybe some specials?
I don't see the new slicing game removing chance from the slicing system at all really. I do however see my reaction time being limited to the laggy server of bria and thus causing even more customer complaints.
don't really care as long as there is a plan. And not some half @$$ed "oh look what we're cooking up for the smugglers" thread that translates into (um lets tell them something they will forget about in a month or seven)
I've been here too long and seen too many ideas just get dropped and never mentioned before...and I've seen even more poorly planned ideas get implimented with a dozen or so "Oh crap" hotfixes to follow.

Think of it this way, while those things will certainly happen it also gives us a reason to attend high-level areas that involve group mechanics.
People want to use the best and it has it's consequences. They will have the chance that their uber 100000max dmg t-21 breaks down in the middle of a big fight in say... deathwatch bunker. They are not going to like the thought of going *back* to town and finding a smuggler. They will want to have that smuggler fighting with them for on the spot jobs.

Like I said in another thread I think the line will be changed from spice crafting to spice transportation or some crap and we will get jtl style missions to advance within that line. The only reward would be to obtain higher missions the higher level you have and more usable spice, as well as gaining master smuggler...is this the change everyone wants? yeah they will be getting rid of spices but now you've got a whole line of gated missions that will advance you to master smuggler and you gain nothing for it?I would have felt much better if something was said....anything like we are getting rid of the spice line for something more smuggler like...I don't have a good feeling about this...
You really think that? You do realise that even in JTL you do get something for each boxes? That if you are right, we would be the only profession in game to have a WHOLE skill branch without ANY mods or skills in it?
Isn't it way more plausible that we just don't know because what we saw is an early document, not exactly a complete thing?

wait we are currently the only profession that requires combat skills without any combat mods or or defenses right? and we are the only profession without anything at all in the master box. and we do need 1.5 mil pistol xps for underworld when that line has nothing to do with pistol we do have spice assembly and spice experimentation mods that actually don't effect anything since we cant experiment on spice we get to learn all languages but then so does everyone else we can experiment on slicing tools but they have no effect what-so-ever
so why is it so difficult to think that we will get "spice smuggling" xps for the new spice line that will give us nothing but the ability to take higher missions?
Look I don't want to craft spice I never did, but what we are looking at here is really nothing. Yes, I know its only concept and subject to change. But I really hate to see this community get its hopes up to find out all they really did was take spices away and now we need to do missions to get them.
